TNA Impact Review – 08.21.25

We emerge from Emergence and make our gradual climb for we are Bound For Glory. Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rewholdt are here. Gia Miller and McKenzie Mitchell are here. We are all here at the Chesapeake Areana on the campus of University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Fun factoid, UMBC was the first number 16 seed to beat a number one seed in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship when the Retrievers beat the University of Viriginia. But that was then and this is now; so, let’s not be cavalier about it and let’s get ready for some Impactful Discourse, shall we? We shall.

Previously on….Emergence, we get recaps of Sami Callihan’s retirement match vs. Mike Santana (without mic botch,) the International Title match between Jake Something and the title match between Moose and Trick Williams.

We start off the show “Whoopin’ That Trick” as Williams heads to ringside as Hannifan talks about Williams defeating Moose in Moose’s hometown of Baltimore. Rewholdt mentioned whether you call it ego or confidence, it is growing every day. Wiliams wants to talk about it and feels bad for Baltimore and not because the crabcakes are awful (claiming he almost got sick from them) or the Ravens will never be as good as Philadelphia Eagles. He feels bad he had to beat Moose in his hometown. Not the first time he felt that, citing he beat Mike Santana in his hometown.

He doesn’t like Santana; Williams also doesn’t like when people ask him and remind him that the title is upside down. We should mind our own business because it represents how he turned TNA upside down. He mentioned he broke attendance records and set up new TV deals. He is carrying two brands.

Well, Santana took umbrage with that and headed to ringside through the concourse and through the crowd. He held a sign indicating Williams should go back to NXT. Hannifan talked about the main event on NXT on Tuesday as Santana cost Wiliams a shot at the title when he lost to Je’Von Evans.

Santana cut his promo from the stands and got a huge “Santana” chant. First and foremost, Baltimore, what’s good (presuming not to focus on the Orioles’ woes.) Secondly how many people are sick and tired of this clown (points at Williams) running his mouth? He gave Williams props and he did turn TNA upside down and beat Moose. He had two of TNA”s biggest stars set the box office record at UBS Arena. And, Williams didn’t beat Santana in that match.

We are spitting facts, now, Santana doesn’t care where it is here; as God and everyone in the arena as his witness, he is going to hunt Williams down, Spin the Block and become our new TNA champion.

Williams called it a pack of lies and Santana is choking on his words since he doesn’t have what it takes to become champion. Santana had two chances and he couldn’t spin that block. He will not grant him another title shot.

Overstepping authority? That’s sounds like a case for Santino Marella, who makes his appearance. Santana absolutely deserves another title shot. The good people of Baltimore want to see it – Santana vs. Williams for the TNAAAAAAAA…well, hang on. Williams put the kibosh on that. He said Marella needs to check the paperwork and talk to his lawyer. He has a 50-day clause, meaning he doesn’t have to defend the title in 50 days. Good litigation skills.

He looked to Santana and said he better be glad because he doing him a favor – not embarrass himself in front of his family. Santana heard enough and darts to the ring as Williams bails up the ramp. He thought about heading back but reconsidered and headed backstage.

Gia Miller is backstage with Order Four (everyone is present) as she addressed the issue with the System (which is our main event tonight.) Ali said normally he would like to address the citizens but rather he wanted to address Miller. Doesn’t she hate it when people disrespect her? Provoke her? Push her? Doesn’t it make her want to do something about it? Like Push back or fight? That’s how he feels about the System. The System provoked him and the Four. He doesn’t trust the System. Order Four doesn’t trust the System and neither do the fans of TNA. They place their trust in one man. In Ali, they trust.

We get a rundown of the matches tonight and a TNA Knockout Gauntlet match is next – actually a break is next but after that…..

We come back to another hype package for Slammiversary: Fade to Black. We also head backstage to see Williams and A J Francis talking about what just happened with Santana. Marella caught up to “Tricky” Williams. He getting his lawyers to look at the contract but just because (for now) he doesn’t have to defend his title in 50 days, doesn’t mean he doesn’t have to compete. Next week, Williams and Francis will face Mike Santana and a partner to be determined. Marella has a few tricks of his own, Tricky. Marella headed off frame, but Francis does not want Williams to worry since he has his back because we are always First Class Trickin’ and we should talk about it (we just did.) Francis has dinner reservations so they head out of the shot.

We also get a recap of the Evans vs. Williams match with Femi and Williams watching from the >Hannifan hyped the match as a great match but Santana got in Williams’ head and cost Williams the match against Evans. Also, we get highlights of the six-woman tag match between the By Elegance Brand vs Fatal Influence. We see Masha Slamovich eject the Personal Concierge. We see Slamovich out of position from Ash’s Rarified Air finisher but in time for Jacy Jayne to hit the Rolling Encore for the win. That comes to a head this Sunday at NXT Heatwave as Jayne, Slamovich and Ash face off.

Xia Brookside vs. Killer Kelly

We start with Xia Brookside who is all smiles and got an insert promo despite being number one person she was born for this absolutely. However, her odds are iffy as we are bathed in red light as Killer Kelly made her way to the ring. She got an insert promo because one by one, everyone will fall and she is okay with number two. She didn’t come back to take a seat in the back but to become a champ.

Kelly crawls ominously at Brookside as Brookside seemed befuddled but two can play at that game as Brookside crawled to Kelly and then grabbed a head lock and then an armlock. Brookside flipped out of it and grabbed a headlock and took Kelly down with it. Kelly used a headscissors to reverse it and hit a Code of Silence to keep the pressure going. She slapped and bit Brookside’s abdomen.

However, Brookside managed a handspring to escape and taunted Kelly in front of her. Not the most polished of ideas since Kelly got to her feet and ran Brookside to the turnbuckles. However, Brookside kicked away a charge and then hit a hurincanrana to take Kelly down. Brookside kept the pressure with a running bodypress for two. Brookside clubbed away at Kelly but a charge to the corner was evaded by Kelly as Brookside ran into the corner. Kelly went back on offense by standing on the ropes and stomping away on the back of Brookside’s head. Kelly continued to do that and then threw Brookside to the mat. A running big boot got two.

A fairly loud ”let’s go Kelly” chant emerged from the crowd as she creatively choked Brookside by wrapping her calf around Brookside and holding the ropes for extra leverage. A crowd morphed the earlier chant to a dueling “Let’s go Kelly/Let’s go Xia” chant as Kelly hit a gourdbuster. Kelly taunted the crowd but walked into a Brookside drop toehold which Xia turned into a bottom rope flying elbow smash for two.
Kelly started to maul Brookside with punches and boots. She also rammed Brookside’s head to the turnbuckles. She locked a cravat hold and then hit a reverse neckbreaker on Kelly’s knee. A running clothesline to the back of Brookside’s head which also got a two count.

Kelly tauntingly started to boot Brookside whilst holding on to Brookside’s arm. However, Brookside managed to escape and traded forearms with Kelly. Brookside reversed a clothesline into a wheelbarrow stunner. Brookside pounded away on Kelly in the corner and then headed to the second turnbuckle but Kelly met her there. Both fought on the turnbuckles but Brookside attempted a sunset flip from the turnbuckle but Kelly held firm. Brookside managed to escape and kicked Kelly on the turnbuckle. At that point, Brookside was in position and hit the Brooksy Bomb for the win.

We hear the music and we see Dani Luna head to ringside as we head to a break.

Brookside vs. Dani Luna

When return we get a sign of sportsmanship and then Luna got an armbar which Brookside, again, flipped out and reversed. Luna remained undaunted and worked the arm, despite Brookside attempts to roll out of that one. Brookside eventually reversed it by running to the second turnbuckle and hitting a arm drag take down and then worked the arm.
Meanwhile, Hannifan talked about Luna being conflicted with her relationship and status with Indi Hartwell. Rewholdt said Luna is focused on getting a title shot. Hannifan also brought up the conflict between Luna and Threat and how Luna rebuked Threat’s efforts to help her former tag team partner.

Whilst that was bantered, Brookside held the armlock, despite Luna’s attempts to reverse it. Luna did manage to catch Brookside and get a quick rollup for two. However, Brookside remained steadfast in keeping the armlock until Luna bodyslammed her. However, a Luna charge to Brookside was met with a drop toehold to the turnbuckles. However, Brookside missed her own charge and Luna landed a running clothesline in the corner. Luna also hit an overhead suplex and a sliding clothesline for two. Both Rewholdt and Hannifan speculated how much Brookside had in the tank as Luna hit a vertical suplex for two.

Luna went back to the arm and dropped a knee on it. Brookside tried to rally but Luna slugged away on Brookside. However, another suplex attempt was reversed and Brookside hit a fluing headscissor takedown off the ropes. Brookside got a running back elbow in the ropes but a meteora to the corner was missed. Luna hit a one-legged dropkick to drop Brookside. Luna then got Brookside on her shoulders and the Luna Landing got the victory.

Luna had no time to celebrate as Rosemary’s music played indicating her as the next person in the gauntlet as we get another break.

Dani Luna vs. Rosemary

Luna wasted no time going on the attack, meeting a charging Rosemary in the middle the ring and ran her into the corner with her shoulder, which cumulated with a series of shoulder blocks to the torso of “The Demon Assassin.” Rosemary managed to stem the tide by hitting a forearm shiver of her own and then a spear sent Luna out of the ring.

Rosemary crawled out of the ring and stomped and bit away at Luna whistle awing with the friends. Rosemary slammed Luna’s head into the apron. Luna, however, reversed a whip to the ringpost and Rosemary went crashing, shoulder first, into it. Luna rolled Rosmary into the ring but Rosmary rolled out and pulled Luna’s leg out from her as Luna crashed to the apron.

Both competitors got back into the ring. Rosemary continued her bicuspid-themed attack by biting Luna’s hand in an armbar. After jawing with the referee, Rosemary rammed Luna into the turnbuckles and then hit the Upside Down on the ropes. Rosemary slugged away on Luna but Luna managed to get to her feet and trade shots with Rosemary, eventually winning that display. Luna hit a shoulder block but missed a sliding clothesline as Rosmary went of the ropes and hit her sliding clothesline for two,

Rosemary tried to set up for the As Above, So Below but Luna elbowed out of it. Luna missed the charge but came back with another one-legged dropkick and attempted to set up the Luna Landing on Rosemary. However, Rosemary eyeraked her way out of that move. Another As Above, So Below was reversed to a backdrop and NOW Luna gets Rosemary on her shoulders and the Luna Landing gets the victory.

So, who is next? Indi Hartwell who gets a huge pop as Rewholdt talks about friend vs. friend. However, Rosemary meets Hartwell on the ramp and Rosemary momentarily beat on Hartwell before the referee managed to intervene. Hartwell was none the worst for wear, as wear are during this break.

Indi Hartwell vs. Dani Luna

We return with Luna getting a quick rollup on a charging Hartwell for two. Hartwell answered with two big boots and slugged away on Luna with forearm smashes in the ring and on the apron. Another running big boot to Luna brought Dani back into the ring and a two count for Hartwell.
Hartwell got the arm bar as a huge “Indi” chant emerged from the crowd. Luna blocked two attempts to go to the ropes and managed to hold on to the ropes to deliver a big boot to Hartwell on the third. A kick and another sliding clothesline got two for Luna. Luna grabbed the armbar on Hartwell. Hartwell slugged away at Luna to escape and threw Luna hard into the turnbuckles as Luna crumpled and writhed on the mat. Hartwell got a two count from it.

Hartwell hit a side suplex off the ropes for two and then hit the arm bar with Hartwell’s knee in Luna’s back. Luna eventually powered out of it and rolled Hartwell to break loose. However, a pickup by Luna was blocked by a series of elbows from Hartwell. The two tried to a double clothesline which neither sold but Hartwell caught Luna off the ropes with spinebuster for two. Luna got a rollup of a Hurts Donut attempt for two. However, Hartwell reversed that to a rollup for the win.

Post Match: Luna is shocked as Hartwell smiled but tried for good sportsmanship. Luna got to her knees and started to shake hands – but landed a huge clothesline from it and put the boots to her. A one-legged dropkick dropped Hartwell again and started to pound away on Hartwell. But Jody Threat’s music started as Luna looked up the ramp and Threat seemed incredulous this was happening.

Luna rolled out of the ring and Threat confronted her. Luna pointed at herself and then audibly said that she did it…for Threat. She yelled to ring the bell and for Threat to do it and finish the match. Threat checked on Hartwell as the bell rang. Threat was hesitant to do anything.

That didn’t sit well in Luna (no pun intended) and she came back into the ring with a chair. Threat blocked her from using it. Threat yelled at Luna who seemed conflicted (the crowd wasn’t as they yelled “use it.” Nice.) Cooler heads prevailed – momentarily. Luna dropped the chair and look remorseful – until she slugged Threat and then used the chair on Hartwell repeatedly on her back and abdomen. Security hustled into the ring to stop Luna who broke through the throng and clotheslined one hapless security detail. The crowd embraced the heel and chanted “one more time” but Luna headed back up the ramp. Suffice to say, the winner by disqualification was Jody Threat, who is now in line for a Knockouts Title opportunity.

Post-Match: Threat didn’t want it this way as Hartwell struggled to get to her feet. Threat helped Hartwell up the ramp as mass confusion and hysteria prevailed (except for the two fans who Hartwell gave high fives.)

What isn’t confusing? The Bioflex injury report

We get a referee sighting as Daniel Spenser was knocked out during the Emergence main event on Friday from a Williams flying clothesline. Spenser is cleared to go. Zachary Wentz injured his shoulder during the Hardys match and is day-to-day (aren’t we all?) Matt Cardona received various bruises from his match at Emergence against Ali. But he is cleared to go (which is good because he is in the main event.) We also get a “Freebird rule” reset with Ash by Elegance and the rest of the By Elegance Brand defending the tag titles.

We come back to a backstage area with the Inspiration who complained about the cheating in the match at Emergence. Jess said Heather completely raked her eyes and M landed a belt shot on Lee to cost them the title. The Iinspiration are undaunted and focused on getting the titles back. HOWEVER, Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley and Jasmyn Nyx) wandered into shot and said how cute they looked but Henley said everyone knows that NXT is the superior brand; ergo, Nyx postulated they are the superior team and they are going to bring the Knockouts tag title back to NXT.

The Iinspiration take umbrage with that and start the ball rolling on a match between the two as the teams start to argue. Influence cleared the shot and left as the Iinspiration STRUCK THE POSE!!!

We get a travel update from Hannifan and then backstage with Marella as Threat wandered into shot and said she doesn’t know what happened out there but she does not deserve the shot. Threat offered the shot to Hartwell. Marella was also confused but before he could pontificate, Luna wandered into the shot and reiterate she did this for Threat. Threat rebuked her and asked what is wrong with her? The answer, she is not getting what she deserved and then stormed out of frame. Threat and Marella stood flummoxed as we fade out and go back ringside.

We hear the zipper and that only mean one thing – Ryan Nemeth has the mic and stands on the ramp. The crowd chants “where’s your brother?” as Ryan said his BIG BROTHER will be coming back in two weeks. We get chryon for it and everything. And, yeah, that’s it.

We head back after an A-game pitch to more hair metal as “The King of TNA” Frankie Kazarian made his way down the ramp. Hannifan went over Kazarian’s involvement in the Jake Something vs. Steve Maclin match at Emergence. We get a insert recap of the Kazarian and Something confrontation as Something headed to the ring.

Jake Something vs. Frankie Kazarian

Kazarian started fast with a series of boots (even one from a clothesline reverse.) Kazarian ducked two Something clotheslines off the ropes but was met with Something’s jumping bodyblock on the third. Something threw Kazarian into the corner and hit a shoulder block in the corner and then a huge clothesline out of the turnbuckle. Something got a Biiiig backdrop when Kazarian came off the ropes again. Something got another running shoulder block in the corner followed by a hard whip to the turnbuckle in which Kazarian flipped flopped and flew to the floor.

Something thought about leaping on Kazarian from the floor but stopped. Kazarian sauntered around the floor, and gave Something a chance to thit a running clothesline. Something clubbed away at Something and then dropped Kazarian on the apron. Something rolled Kazarian into the ring and stalked him in the corner. However, Kazarian flipped out of a leg pull slam and hit the ropes, only to be caught by Something into a Gorilla Pres sand then a huge powerslam for two.

Something continued to club away at Kazarian and Hannifan speculates on why Kazarian is inserting himself into these affairs and thinks the cause is jealousy. Whilst he speculates, Kazarian backflipped off a Kazarian backdrop attempt and hit the backstabber. He followed it with a sliding clothesline and a springboard twisting leg press for two.

Something got fire up and hit a series of clotheslines but a powerbomb attempt is met with a series of punches from Kazarian. However, Something stood on Kazarian’s foot to prevent escape and Something landed a huge shot to drop Kazarian. We get the Ultimate Warrior rope shake and Something threw Kazarian into the ropes. However, the Into the Void was momentarily reversed to a chicken wing but Something powered out of it.

A turnbuckle charge is met with a back elbow and another charge is met with a rollup attempt by Kazarian. However, Something powered out of it and held Kazarian to land a powerbomb for two-and-a-fraction. Something got amped up and threw Kazarian into the corner. However, Kazarian managed to get the padding removed from the middle turnbuckle while the referee was holding back Something. Something charged but Kazarian moved and guided Something’s head into the exposed turnbuckle. Kazarian grabbed Something, hit the Fade to Black, and picked up the win.

Post-Match: Kazarian celebrated and remembered to throw the exposed turnbuckle (which was on the floor) under the ring. That’s the way I do laundry so I applaud the heeling attempt.

We head backstage and see Mara Sade painting something (we don’t see what) as the Hardys enter the shot. They liked what they saw and complimented Sade on how it looked. She was inspired by Slammivesary and they inspired her art. Jeff was working on some canvas paint and invited Sade to take a look at them as they leave. I’m sure the painting will be fine.

We see Jacy Jayne…walking. However, we cut from her to Leon Slater on his phone as Cedric Alexander enters the frame. Alexander complimented Slater on his performance and said he was the better man on Sunday. Slater said this is what the X-Division is. Alexander reminded Slater that he promised him a tag match and its going to happen next week – against the Hardys. Slater clarifies it is THE Hardy Boys (no, the sleuths from the mystery novels.) Alexander confirms it is THE Hardy Boys. Slater seemed apprehensive but gradually warms to the idea.

We get another travel update from Hannifan and then go backstage again to Marella who is talking to someone about the legal jargon in Williams’ contract. Marell wants more parsimonious answers but the call has to wait as Steve Maclin walked into frame and asked if Marella was still looking for a partner for Santana. Maclin said he holds the line for TNA and fortuitously enough, Marella was about to call him and Santana has a partner.

We go back ringside and Jacy Jayne walked to ringside and she has two titles and a mic. She said it is accursedly hard to be this good. She is the history maker and the moment maker. She is not looking for sympathy because no one in the back has reached her level of success. Most of the women in back could not hold one title, much less two from two differently brands.

She called out Marella and said he knew this and that’s why he chose two of his very best to take down the hottest woman in all of pro wrestling. TNA is desperate but when the odds are stacked against her, she thrives. Jacy Jayne the proof is right here, the two titles. The worst part is no one thanked her for it. She went to the Trick Williams card that the title is getting more views and likes than ever before being on NXT. But she is fed Masha “Brainless” Slamovich for the 10th and the hair-sprayed driven lack of intelligence that is Ash by Elegance.

What’s worse, no one in the back cheers for her or supports her but rather they support mediocrity. A “what” chant emerged but Jayne turned it around and said come Sunday, they’ll be chanting what when she’s still the double champion. Stop second guessing her because she always gets the last laugh. At WWE Heatwave ,everyone will be on their edge of their seats hoping the title is brought back to TNA from one of their own but the reality is Ash and Masha will return empty handed and disappointed.

This brings out the Personal Concierge who wants her to shut her dirty mouth. Ash is in tow and focused. She said she got this and said how dare she. Jayne is an attention whooore and everyone should be talking about herrrr and everything she has done. Ash is the number one contender and 15 time WWE Champion (okay, technically, yes..) She is a current three-time champ , junior Olympian and was an official IFBB Fitness competitor. What has Jayne done?

Jayne took the mic and landed a great response that she is holding two titles that Ash doesn’t hold and never will because she never will because she isn’t good enough. Ash said the match should be about her and Jayne and not Masha Slamo-(female dog.) Ash turned the promo to her as Jayne looked bemused. One person who does not look bemused – Slamovich who headed down ringside.

Slamovich has a mic and said she is going to keep it short and sweet because everyone is tired of “Temu Britney Spears” and “Emo Katy Perry” (Ash and Jayne respectively) running their mouths. At Heatwave, she is going to beat both their glutes and bring the title back to TNA. Allt here start to argue as Jayne holds the titles over both of them and Slamovich and Ash continue to argue. Jayne left the ring and headed up the ramp holding them titles high and dances on the rampway.

We cut to backstage as Tasha Steelz and the Great Hands (John Skyler and Jason Hotch) are looking at Sade’s art. They talk about how awful it looks and its looked like a fifth-grader did it. Jason Hotch said his two-year-old could fingerprint better than that. They continue to denigrate whatever it is as the Hardys and Sade walk into frame.

Steelz called it “basura” (garbage) and is complete trash. Sade said artists leave everything they have on canvas from pain to emotion, something Steelz knows nothing. She is going to go to Marella to get a match signed to show how creative Sade can be. Matt called Steelz a female dog as Steelz dismissed him as she and the Hands head off frame. Jeff complimented Sade on how nice the painting was – a variation on the Hardys logo.

We get a preview of next week’s show (all the matches created during this episode, conveniently enough.) But now, we got us a main event

Six Man match Order Four (Ali and the Great Hands) vs. The System (Moose and Brian Myers) and Matt Cardona (with Alicia Edwards in tow)

We are always ready for Matt Cardona to make his entrance, which he does down the ramp. The System is next and soak in the cheers of the crowd. Order Four is next with the phalanx of Servicemen as Steelz and the Great Hands wait on the ramp for Ali (with Agent Zero in tow.)

John Skyler and Myers start the match. Myers backed Skyler to the corner and the two exchange shoves before Myers got the upperhand by mauling Skyler in the corner. Myers landed a flying forearm and tagged Cardona. Who hit a Russian leg Sweep/clothesline double team for one. Cardona whipped Skyler into the corner but was met with a flying knee as Cardona charged.

Skyler tagged Hotch but was met with a backdrop as he charged Cardona. Cardona hit a missile dropkick from the second turnbuckle for two. Cardona tagged Myers and the two former Edgeheads hit a double flapjack on Hotch for two. Hotch hit the knee and tagged Ali. Ali slugged away at Myers in the corner. A snapmare out of the corner turned to a seated dropkick for Ali. Ali tagged Skyler but Myers managed to backdrop a charging Ali out of the ring and whipped Skyler to the apron. Cardona landed a big boot to drop Skyler to the floor.

Hotch tried to interfere but a top rope leap was met with a double shot to the abdomen. Moose entered the ring and the Edgeheads threw Hotch to him. Moose then lifted Hotch and powerbombed him over ropes to floor on Ali and Skyler as we take our last commercial break.

Back from break, Skyler pounded on Cardona and landed a cheap shot on Myers on the outside. However, a backdrop attempt was reversed to a flying face first slam to the canvas. We got a PiP from what happened during break and we see both Ali and Hotch hitting the double between the ropes rolling neckbreaker on Cardona. While we did that, Cardona made the hope crawl and hot tagged Moose as Skyler tagged Ali.

Moose chopped away at Ali and hit the big boot on Hotch on the apron. Ali flipped over a Moose charge to the corner but Moose grabbed him and flung him onto the top turnbuckle. Moose hit a huge dropkick to Ali who fell to the floor. Skyler entered but was met with a big boot and an urinagi, followed by a back senton. Moose hit the warrior rope shake but a charge to the corner was met with a back elbow from Ali. Moose no sold it and grabbed Ali from the top turnbuckle and hit a sit out powerbomb for two.

The crowd was loudly chanting for Moose and he set up for a powerbomb, only for Ali to reverse it and kick the back of the knee. Hotch was tagged but Moose met him with a huge headbutt and a charging back elbow from Moose in the corner. Cardona tagged in as Moose threw Hotch into a codebreaker by Cardona; who launched Hotch to Moose for a sit out powerbomb. Meanwhile, Myers climbed to the top rope and hit the elbow drop for two-and-a-fraction before Order Four bowled the rest of the System into Myers to break the pin.

The crowd broke into a “TNA” chant as Myers grabbed Hotch but a superkick temporarily stopped Myers. A rolling back kick dropped Hotch. Meanwhile, Skyler charged Cardona but Cardona reversed it and threw Skyler to the floor. Cardona hit a drop kick through the ropes on Skyler but Ali dove through the ropes and hit a flying shoulder block to drop Cardona. Moose, however, went to the floor and hit a running big boot to a celebrating Ali.

Moose wound up to clock Ali but Steelz stood in front of the charging Moose. Moose stopped as Steelz argued with him. He picked up Steelz and carried over around the other side. However, when he turned around he was met with a triple superkick from Ali and the Great Hands. The hands threw Moose into the ring steps. Edwards went to check on him but Steelz grabbed her and threw her to the ring steps.

Eddie Edwards ran to ringside to check on his wife, only to be met with a huge boot from Agent Zero. Meanwhile, on the apron, Steelz got the referee’s attention to prevent her from seeing Ali slide into the ring and lowblow Myers who was beating Hotch. Hotch tagged Skyler and the Favor finished the match and Order 4 get the victory.

Post-match: Ali reached under the ring for a chair as Cardona tried to beat on the Great Hands. Ali nailed Cardona in he ribs and the back with the chair. Ali ordered the rank and file Serviceman to head to ring side. Ali whipped Cardona into the ringpost as the Servicemen held Moose to watch Ali. However, JDC ran to ringside and dropped Agent Zero with a chair. JDC ran into the ring and thwarted a servicemen from stopping him by throwing a chair and doing the RVD spin kick into the chair held by the servicemen.

JDC climbed to the top rope and sentoned Order Four on the floor. JDC threw Ali into the ring and grabbed a chair. Agent Zero recovered and climbed to the apron and into the ring. A headbutt dropped JDC and the double choke powerbomb on the chair flattened JDC.

Ali took the chair and sat in the middle of the ring triumphantly as Order Four flanked him as we go off the air.

Impactful Ruminations:

One, well, that was quick. I alluded to Luna’s somewhat baffling and hurt reaction last week during her interview with Hartwell but instead of a slow burn we got a roast. It also speaks to a bigger issues. We talked about it earlier here but the dearth of quantity talent is apparent in that gauntlet match. We are now going to believe Threat is a viable contender (presuming she keeps the match. Giving it to Hartwell could right the ship.) I would rather Luna. Honestly, I was disappointed Kelly didn’t get the finish. We made a huge production of her turn and now we job her in an opening match in a gauntlet? I am not a Threat fan but I can’t see them running with this, it would be an ugly match with Jayne and Ash, so hopefully Threat can take on Slamovich an we get a somewhat decent hossette match. Additionally, wasn’t Threat the heel initially when the two split? Luna accusing her of Threat not being there when she needed help but Hartwell was. I remember that. Also, I had to do the Rikishi voice when Luna gave her reasoning.

Two: in a very talking heavy episode, it was odd that the Personal Concierge didn’t get more work with the mic. Jayne nailed her promo, she just nailed it and did a great job stemming the tide of “what” chants. That was well done. Ash held her one but Jayne outshone her on this one. Actually, so did Slamovich; one doesn’t need a word count to make it stick. She got her stuff in and it worked.

Three: Ali still does amazing work. I am glad to see him doing well. I love the subtle touches referencing the Blanchard attack with Miller. That was great.

Four: Okay, good. We choose a lane for Sade. Nice. I think she has the ability to be a fixture and worth a look down the road for a title shot.

Five: Williams is Williams; he is fantastic.

Six: I am curious if the Slater/Alexander match vs. the Hardys leads to something down the road. I would not mind a slow crawl of Alexander becoming a Svengali to Slater as the Hardys try to wrest control.

Seven: As much as I was a fan of their act when they were in the E, I am not really enjoying the work from the Iinspiration. They are not working as faces and even Henley and Nyx ran circles around them in their segment.
