Evening Daily News Update
By Garth Holmberg on 29 July 2025
From the pages of the BOD Magazine, here’s UPDATE…
Good evening, Doomers. It’s Tuesday and it’s time for some NXT, this time with 98% less Undertaker making someone look like a geek. Tonight’s main attraction is Ethan Page defending the NXT North American Championship against TNA’s Director of Authority SANTINO BY GOD MARELLA. Somewhere, Jim Cornette is flipping his furniture while scarfing down a double cheeseburger with double mayo. We’re also getting Jaida Parker versus Jazmin Nyz and Lash Legend versus Fallon Henley. NXT Heatwave is still more than three weeks away, so plenty of time for that PLE to take shape (and a perfect day, I don’t think anything else is happening on August 24th).
Tuesday continues to be the Kat Showcase, with not only Monday Night Raw covered, but the first episode of WWE Unreal, as well. I don’t know if I’m down for WWE’s worked-shoot behind the scenes program, but Raw was a very solid go-home show with an incredible ending (and that doesn’t include the yoinking of Roman’s Jordans!).
Tony Khan Regularly Holding Production Meetings
Hey, six years into the existence of AEW. Better late than never! It’s baffling that a company with national exposure would be so loosey-goosey about their presentation and making sure all the pieces of the puzzle fit properly.
Wyatt Sicks To Be Part of Halloween Horror Night
Universal Studio’s annual Halloween Horror Night will feature a Haunted House with a Wyatt Sicks tie-in, but is more so a tribute to the late-Bray Wyatt.
YouTube Spotlight: Found Footage from The Highway to Hell
Jump on the “Highway to Hell” with this collection of rare and behind-the-scenes footage from SummerSlam 1998, featuring “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Undertaker and more Attitude Era icons.
Alright, you know what comes next… have yourselves a good evening, keep it clean, and come out dooming! – GH
