Evening Daily News Update
By Garth Holmberg on 11 July 2025
Good evening, Doomers. It’s Friday night, and that can only mean one thing… it’s ROH Supercard of Honor, available exclusively on WatchROH.com as part of the Honor Club subscription package. Bandido defends the ROH World Championship against Konosuke Takeshita! Athena defends the ROH Women’s Championship against Thunder Rosa! Blue Panther challenges Lee Moriarty for the ROH Pure Championship, Titan challenges Nick Wayne for the ROH TV Championship, and The Infantry challenges The Sons of Texas for the ROH Tag Team Championship! Also on the card, Dark Order takes on The Frat House and TBA faces TBA for the Interim Women’s TV Championship (Source: Wikipedia). ALL THIS AND MORE TONIGHT! Oh, and Smackdown. Smackdown is on.
Niz has the Special Thursday Edition of AEW Collision covered for us, there was an episode of ROH TV last night that I didn’t enjoy too much, Mike reviews Fully Loaded 1998 (the definition of a 1 match show with a giant asterisk next to that description), and It’s the March to WrestleMania X on What the World Was Watching.
Hulk Hogan’s Wife Gives Update On Health Condition
The WWE Hall of Famer recently underwent serious neck surgery that has led to a complicated road to recovery, with names like Bubba the Love Sponge claiming Hogan’s health is in critical condition.
Trish Stratus Comments on WWE Evolution Build
The challenger to Tiffany Stratton’s Smackdown Women’s Championship opens up about the upcoming event, commenting that the turnaround was quick and luckily the two of them had a built-in story to play off from last year.
YouTube Spotlight: Women’s 2024 WarGames Match
Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Naomi, Bayley and IYO SKY used their WarGames experience to take down Liv Morgan, Nia Jax, Raquel Rodriguez, Tifffany Stratton and Candice LeRae in an unreal showdown at Survivor Series: WarGames 2024. (Yes, the Tiffany typo is on the WWE channel, and yes, this seems like a very uninspired week after how hard they went for New Generation week).
We’ve got a lot of wrestling content this weekend, so like what you like without being too much of a d*ck about things. All In, Saturday Night’s Main Event, Evolution, Great American Bash… it’s OK to enjoy as much or as little of that as possible without taking shots at any particular company (unless they really, really deserve it). So keep it clean, enjoy your weekend, and come out dooming. – GH
