Evening Daily News Update

By Garth Holmberg on 26 June 2025

Good evening, Doomers. It’s Thursday and that means we have TNA Impact tonight. Mustafa Ali faces John Skyler in a Call to Arms Match, Matt and Jeff Hardy take on the Northern Armory, we’ve got a Battle Royal to determine the next challenger for the Knockouts Championship, Mike Santana versus AJ Francis in a Street Fight, and appearance from Joe Hendry. ROH TV (Episode 122) is tonight as well, and the word going round is we’ll get footage from their co-promoted CMLL show Global Wars. Or we’ll get more Aaron Solo and Lance Archer. Oh, and AEW Collision is tonight because it got bumped by a checkers tournament on Saturday.

Phrederic has All Japan’s Champion Carnival from May 18th and Sonic with the latest episode of WWE Evolve. If you haven’t already checked out Scott’s Rant for Dynamite, then you probably avoid the comments section like the plague. I will be back tonight with ROH assuming I haven’t lost all hope and switched back to covering Team Challenge Series AWA. I could always do a catch-up recap of 1st Year SMW (which I have in my archives) and go back to that, but I’m sure it will just attract “Cornette’s an idiot” comments.

Thunder Rosa Challenges ROH Women’s Champion For Supercard of Honor
While unofficial, Thunder Rosa has laid down the challenge to Athena for the streaming special scheduled for July 11th. There was a brief tease a few weeks ago on ROH TV and they were on opposite teams at Global Wars, so this seems like the natural direction.

AEW Star Keith Lee Update
Fans continue to speculate on the health and readiness of a possible return to action, with Lee addressing the rumors and assuring everyone that his health is fine. Lee has not competed since a December 2023 episode of Collision.

YouTube Spotlight: KNOCK KNOCK! Braden Walker in WWE
Relive the incredible run of Braden Walker. Formerly known as Wildcat Chris Harris of America’s Most Wanted, his brief run with WWE is still remembered to this day for the absolute cringe backstage segment that introduced the world to Braden Walker, followed by a handful of in-ring appearances that did little to set the world on fire.

As always, be cool to each other and have a good night. – GH
