TNA Impact Review – 06.19.25

Greetings. We celebrate 23 years of Impact Wrestling in the last week of tapings from the Valley of the Sun in Tempe, AZ. We are ready for a Champions vs. All Stars Match, we are getting a move onto Slammivesary in one month. But for now, let’s engage in some Impactful discourse, shall we? We shall.

Previously on Impact, the System confronts Cardona and makes a match for…tonight. Myers and Cardona have a long stare down speaking the unspoken language of being with Edge’s flunkies. And, we get a review of the Callahan and Young confrontation. We also get Francis and Naaro vs. the Hardys recap (more on that later.) And, we get Slater’s leap over the top turnbuckle to set up….again, tonight.

Eric Young vs. Sami Callihan

The “Death Machine” arrives first giving us the thumbs up and the thumbs down. Eric Young is out with the Northern Armory with matching ponchos and masks. Callihan wastes no times and attacks Young before the ring on the floor. The Armory tired to double punch Callihan but clotheslined them for their efforts. Callihan grabbed a chair but Young took it away and set Callihan’s arm on the ring steps. However, Calihan moved and the chair gets nothing but steel, giving Callihan a shot to clothesline Young and throw him back into the ring.

Young starts the brawl with a…belly-to-belly suplex for two as the bell finally rang. Young yells at the ref giving Callihan a chance to recover and clothesline Young. Callihan and Young slug away on each other. Calihan got the advantage via headbutts but Icarus distracts Callihan enough for Young to clothesline Callihan for two. Callihan was thrown out of the ring and double teamed by the armory. Callihan back in the ring and Young gets two. Young kicks Callihan out of the ring and as Young distracts ref and the Armory take turns kicking Callihan.

Young poses and takes time to yell at fans as the Armory stare at Callihan. Callihan just beats the count into the ring but met with an elbow drop for two by Young. Young slugs away in the corner, slams Callihan and then goes to the top rope but Callihan shakes the ropes to crotch Young onto the top turnbuckle. Calihan up to the top but Young takes a chunk of Callihan’s head but is met with a left hook as he jumped from the top. Callihan grabs Young for the piledriver but Young reversed it to his own piledriver attempt but Callihan broke it up and we get dueling eye rakes. We get a thumbs up, thumbs down flatliner and both are down.

Callihan and Young in the corner. Callihan throws Young to the turnbuckles and we get a Flin Flon Flair flip, flop and fly. Callihan meets him at the corner but Young punches him off and hits a flying elbow drop for two -and -a-fraction.

Young takes umbrage with the ref and threaten sot hit her. Young goes out of the ring and accosts Hannifan and Rewholdt and the fans (one holding a bottle, threatening to hit him.) The Northern Armory provide backup as Young goes back in the ring but Callihan hits the cotch claw and then a stunner for two-and-a-fraction. Callihan back up for his thumbs up and down piledriver but Travis Wiliams and Icarus interfere, Icarus hits Callihan in the gut with a chair, which doubled over Callihan and makes him susceptible to Young’s piledriver which Young hits for the win.

Gia miler is backstage with the all-star portion or the champ challenge. Hendry speaks up and says despite the last three weeks of challenges and setbacks he still believes in this team. Eljah believes in the team hits his catchphrase. Slater grabs the mic and plays off Elijah’s catchphrase regarding his victory over Moose. Rascalz are next and want all the smoke. Wentz brings up Maclin,. When Miguel asks should we kick his backside, Hendry said they should…that’s rude.

Speaking of rude, we get commercials.

When we get back, we have the Order Four Summit Meeting. The extra security is in tow for the group. Steelz and the Great Hands walk out first. Ali walks out last with disgusted scowl and derisive looks at the audience. In fact, everyone looks somber. Ali grabs the mic but wants the ring to himself for a moment whilst the others stand on the apron.

Ali said this is more of a job performance evaluation and starts with Press Secretary Tasha Steelz. He said Order Four gave her everything – money, nice clothes and an opportunity at the Knockout Championships. Ali had just one job, to curb and counter all the propaganda and slander against him and Order Four. Ali said she has done an awful job. After berating the audience, he accused Steelz of lying and talking to him, even today. Ali asks for her phone and passcode and he is right. Ali doesn’t want her to talk to him again and demands Steelz apologize for lying. She does and is dismissed back to the apron.

Jason Hotch is then asked to enter the ring. Ali called him brave, bold…and the biggest idiot. Ali said Hotch had the audacity to question his leadership and wants to know why. Hotch said he would do what any man would do when Ali put his hands on Steelz. Hotch said his wife and daughter were watching and wanted to show them what a man does. Ali retorted that he paid for his mortgage and his baby formula. And, there is only one man and it is Ali. Ali now wants Hotch to apologize. But wait, he wants him to apologize on behalf of his wife and daughter. Through gritted teeth, Hotch apologizes and he is dismissed form the ring.

That leaves John Skyler, Ali still thinks the world of him but needs to remind him…..Skyler had enough and grabbed the mic. He reiterated the phrase actions have consequences and Ali’s actions – putting his hands on Steelz and injuring Hotch – have consequences. He reminds Ali that he has a family as does everyone else – except him. This was his family. There is no order anymore, just chaos and now order four is just order one. Ali is acting like a jackass, Skyler said. The crowd cheers. Ali grabbed the mic back and reminds him who is talking to, he has no heart or soul just the mission to be the best. We won’t tolerate weakness and Skyler is the weakest of them all. He asks Skyler to apologize; no wait, get on his hands and knees to apologize. Skyler starts but grabs the mic and tells Ali “no.’ Ali pushes Skyler but Skyler pushes back, dropping Ali to the canvas. Hotch tried to restrain Skyler but Ali said Skyler made the biggest mistake of his life. So, next week, we get a Call to Arms Match. Ali stomps up the ramp yelling at the fans.

Meanwhile, Killer Kelly vignette starts. People thought she disappeared, or she ran off or she was broken. She wasn’t hiding, just healing, mostly from Masha. She kept the MKUltra chain because it was their bond and symbol. She was more than just a partner and the world looked at them with fear in their eyes. However, Masha turned her back on Kelly and is now the champion and the crowd now cheers for her and it is funny how times change. Now it is Kelly’s time to take what means most to her, the title. We fade to black…and commercials.

Ash and Heather….by Elegance vs. Lei Ying Lee and Masha Slamovich

The Personal Concierge greets us from break and wants the crowd to give themselves a round of applause for being the worst city he has ever seen. He now knows why the Coyotes left for Utah. Knowledge is power after all. However, he does have something these degenerates can cheer and smile. We are asked to stand up and give some respect to Heather and Ash….by Elegance.

Heathe and Ash come out with M in tow. Lee and Slamovich are out next. M is not a fan of Masha’s music.

Ash and Lee start with Ash mocking Lee’s karate prowess with comedic poses in the corner. However, she turns around and faces Lee. Ash quickly tags in Heather. Heather and Lee start the bout. Heather tried a go behind but Lee reversed that and fired off a series of roundhouse kicks which Heather avoided by moving backward and falling into the corner. We get a funny comedic spot as Heather tags Ash and is beckoning for Masha..sort of. Both Lee and Masha are in the ring as Ash makes more exaggerated moments and talking loudly. Ash grabs the phone and pulls up Google Translate. Well one thing that is universally known is a clothesline, which Masha does three times for a two count,

Masha whips Ash to the corner and then holds Lee to land a series of, well, Liu Kang kicks in the corner. Ash heads to the outside and Lee hits a cannonball plancha. Ash and Heather are trying to regroup but Masha comes through the ropes with a twisting plancha that knocks By Elegance to the ground and us to commercials.

After the commercials, By Elegance is now in control. Heather gets a whip and a back elbow to Lee in the corner. Lee responds with a neckbreaker…ish on Heather for two. Lee tries to dive for a tag but Is caught by Heather and puts the boots to her. Lee does eventually escape and Masha gets the hot tag.

Masha hits the ring with a series of running knees to the corner on Heather and hit a running clothesline and DDT (Masha positioned Heather and Ash into the DDT hold and then clotheslined them) for two. Masha grabs Ash and puts her in the piledirver position; meanwhile, the referee is distracted by Lee. This gave By Elegance a chance to hit a slingshot codebreaker (it did not look clean.) By Elegance gets a two count but Lee throws Heather to the floor. Ash again mocked Lee with faux karate moves. Lee and Heather square off but Heather (literally) glitter bombs Lee and throws her into the corner.

Ash goes up for Rarified Air but Masha is there to meet her. However, Killer Kelly appears on the ramp and distracts Masha enough for Ash to knock her to the canvas. Now, the Rarified Air connects for the victory…by Elegance.

Post-match, we get a celebration….by Elegance as Kelly and Masha glare at each other. We then cut to the back with Gia Miller and the Iinspiration who were watching the match from the ABA (awkward backstage angle.) McCay said that had been there before and they made the Knockout Titles Iconic (snicker.) Lee said they can paint their nails and take their selfies but when we are here to INSPIRE YOU (this was..not great.)

Bioflex report. KC Navarro is out with a dislocated knee and is out (we knew that, but that still is bad.) The good news is Mike Santana and Tasha Steelz have been cleared for action.

We start hour two with Santino Marella. Hannifan does question his decision about green lighting Trick Williams and Josh Briggs on Tuesday.

He said we are well on our way to Slammiversary and he has good news that Santana is back from suspension and will fight AJ Francini (his words) next week. However, he wants to be serious and talk to a mentor of his. This man is a legend in wrestling. He wants to talk to Tommy The Dreamer (dejected sigh.) Dreamer comes out and Marella wants to talk to him about last week’s incident with Mance Warner.

He knows he has that dog in him (people naturally bark.) Marella said that dog is a husky, because, well, he is husky (he’s shooting.) Marella has given him the green light to ask for a match with Warner.
However, Warner and DeLander interrupt. She said Dreamer was the Innovator of Violence but Warner is not most violent man in TNA. She said Dreamer’s violence may have worked in 1996 but this 2025 and DeLander was not born in 1996 (a quick check of the Internet confirms.)

Dreamer responds that this may not be time anymore and he is on the back end of his career but DeLander needs to understand the bigger picture and it is something else. And, Jake Something makes his return. Warner attacks but Something meets him and hits him with a shoulder block. Warner and DeLander left the ring. Something wants them back in but Warner and DeLander walk back through the walkway, DeLander licking Warner’s face as they move (ewww..)
We have a real quick review of the 8-4-1 match, focusing on Tessa Blanchard and Indi Hartwell. We then go to the back as Indi accosts Tessa whilst she is on her phone (again, rude.) Indi ask Tessa if she wants to start something and that Tessa has no accountability. Blanchard reminded her of what she did for Hartwell, sleeping on her couch and getting her a big break, and now she wants to walk over her to get to the title. Hartwell said Blanchard is proving everyone right. Blanchard shakes her head and walks off screen as we walk off to break.

We get a Triplemania AAA recap featuring the Nemeths. And, we get Joe Hendry’s theme in Spanish. Nice. However, Moose got the victory via a spear and he is the first wrester to defend the X Division title at Triplemania.

The System (JDC and Eddie Edwards) vs Matt Cardona and ???

The System enter the ring first with everyone (sans Moose) in tow with everyone badmouthing the audience. Cardona walks out alone. Cardona gets the mic and said he didn’t have to look far for his tag partner, because his partner is the masked Hometown Man. HTM makes his way down the ramp with mask and Charles Barkley. It may or not be Cody Deaner, the mask is really confounding (I still think it’s James Harden.) HTM gets the…well, home town pop.

JDC and HTM start. HTM lands a series of punches punctuated with the Dusty Rhodes punch on JDC and lands a boot on Edwards. JDC grabs Cardona and whips him to the turnbuckle but Cardona comes back with a dropkick and goes for the Brosky boot but JDC is pulled out of the ring but it doesn’t stop Cardona from hitting a somersault plancha on JDC and Edwards.

However, Alicia Edwards grabs Cardona by the boot while trying to get back int the ring. This gives JDC a chance to hit a forearm and knock Cardona to the floor and to an Edwards beatdown. Edwards drops and elbow. He makes the quick tag to JDC as Edwards slingshots Cardona to a JDC forearm. Cardona falls back on Edwards’ knees as JDC leaps over the top rope for an elbow drop for two. JDC tried to suplex Cardona, but it got reversed into a neckbreaker.

JDC tags Edwards but Cardona tags HTM who is a masked house of fire. He hits Edwards with a series of clothesline. He grabbed Edwards into a running bulldog and clotheslined JDC on the way down. HTM gets a Sliced Bread for two. At this point all four men are in the ring. JDC grabs Cardona and start to brawl on the floor. Meanwhile, Brian Myers distracts HTM and Edwards attacks him and attempts to remove the mask. However, Hometown Man reverses that into a cradle for the three count.

Post-match, The System beat down HTM. Cardona comes into defend him but goes specifically to Myers. The rest of the System attack and beat down HTM and Cardona; all the while, Alicia is bad mouthing everyone. However, Myers acted conflicted (hmmmm) but reluctantly poses with the system as we go to break.

We come back to a preview of next week when the Hardys face the Northen Armory, a Knockouts battle royal and the Call to Arms match between Skyler and Ali.

Main Event: Champions vs. All-Stars

Frankie Kazarian joins us on commentary and talks about the last 23 years of TNA. We start with the Rascalz who don’t seem to have their spray paint synched. Slater is next followed by Elijah. Lastly, we get Hendry. Nice visuals as the All-Stars all do the hand wave from side-to-side and then they all get to do the face turn.

Maclin is out first for the champs followed the Nemeths and Moose. Finally, we must Whoop That Trick (uh-huh!) Interesting note, the Nemeths did not want to shake Trick’s hand but Moose had no problems and dabbed away with Williams as we Whoop Some commercials.

Elijah and Nick Nemeth start. Nick hits a go behind but Elijah throws him down. Back up, Nemeth grabs an arm lock but Elijah hit his rope assisted back flip escape and reversed the armabar. Nemeth hits a drop kick and grabbed a headlock. Nemeth threw Elijah into the ropes but Elijah countered with a flying clothesline. Elijah then grabbed the arm and did the top rope walk into a Meteora (!) for two.

Wentz gets the tag from Elijah and Nemeth tags in Maclin. Maclin not happy with it, compounded with Nemeth badmouthing him. Maclin and Wentz tie up and Wentz armdrags Maclin but Maclin holds on to the arm. Wentz attempted to flip out of it but Maclin reversed it. Miguel gets the tag and Wentz go for a double team but stop themselves from doing it. Maclin goes for a tag but no one wants to tag (Moose jumped off the apron to the floor.) Maclin forcibly tagged in Ryan and threw him into the ring.

Miguel gets a roll up for two and followed it with a series of punches and a boogie-woogie dropkick. Wentz in in and they hit a double elbow and then a double wishbone into a dropkick. They then hit the MCMG double team chain on Nick. Ryan threw Wentz into the ropes but Wentz turned it into a handspring jumping knee strike as Ryan goes scampering to the corner to tag Williams

Wentz reverses a punch to a series of kicks. Wentz tags in Miguel and hit a series of stereo kicks and a jumping back stomp. Williams quickly tags Moose. The Rascalz hit a double dropkick as Moose and Williams are on the floor. The Rascalz go to the top turnbuckle and hit stereo Moonsaults (sort of) on Moose and Williams (we’ll file it under “didn’t get all of it.”)

Miguel goes to the top but Nick crotches him on the top turnbuckle. Moose sets up for a spear on Miguel but there is no referee for the count. The move is broken up by Slater and Elijah. Moose drags Miguel to the corner as we get dragged to our last commercials.

Back from break and Miguel is being pounded by Moose. Miguel fights back and tags in Slater, who is a flat on fire. He hit a drop kick and a corner splash on Moose. Moose heads to the top turnbuckle but gets taken down with a huricanrana and a jumping side kick. Nick gets a rolling kick for his efforts and Ryan eats a handspring back elbow.

Slater measured up Moose but a charge is reversed into a hotshot/stun gun on the top rope. Moose looks to tag in Maclin but Maclin turns the table and will not tag into the match. So, Williams gets the tag and hits a side kick and he forcibly tags in Maclin. However, Ryan then forcibly tags himself in and gets a front facelock.

Slater is dragged to the corner and Nick is in with a series of punches and an eye rake. He also distracts the referee so Ryan, Moose and Williams beat on Slater (Maclin is a man of honor and would not partake.) Slater tries for the hope crawl but Nick grabs him and drags him back. Ryan is back in and the Nemeths put the boots to him. Ryan hits a series of elbows and Moose is tagged and hits a big kick. Moose attempted a suplex but Slater reversed it into his own suplex. Slater again makes tries the hope crawl and leap but Moose catch him.

The Nemeths distract the ref so she doesn’t see Slater make the tag to Hendry who enters the ring but his forced back by the ref, distracting her from Moose and the Nemeths beating on Slater. Moose hits the chinlock. Eventually, Slater fights his way out only to be met with an urinagi by Moose (with authority, according to Rewholdt.) However, Slater gets a quick rollup for two and another one. However, Moose ends this hope spot with a massive clothesline. However, a powerbomb is reversed to a DDT.

Finally, Slater tags in Hendry and Moose tags in Nick. Hendry is also a flat on fire. Hendry catches Nick coming off the ropes into a fallaway slam and gets the big turn. Ryan comes in and is met with a clothesline and his own Fallaway slam and we get the turn. This time, the turn looks directly at Williams. They go eye to eye and jaw to jaw. Hendry goes on offense with a series of European uppercuts but Williams comes back with a trick knee and a forearm. However, Hendry catches Williams again coming off the ropes and we get the fallaway slam and turn one more time. The Nemeths break up a pin attempt but Hendry gets the tag to Elijah who hits a series of clotheslines on Ryan and a mule kick and a flying forearm. Elijah hops away and throws Ryan to the ropes and hits the flying knee but Trick breaks up the pin attempt. A Trick Kick floors Slater but Hendry clotheslines him. Moose hits a big boot but the Rascalz hit a double team crucifix cradle for two. Nick superkicks Elijah and Ryan goes to the table to grab the belt but Maclin grabs the belt from him. Maclin blasts Nick. Hendry gets the standing ovation and throws him to Elijah for the Highway Man’s Farewell for the victory.

Impactful Ruminations In defense of the flip-a-dip-dippers. I was very impressed with Leon Slater and his ability to generate hope spots and hot tags. It is a lost art and he handled it well, even with the flipping and diving.

The Iinspirations were always great on the mic and always trusted them with it. There interview segment was terrible, though and added nothing.

I am not super stoked if they pull the trigger on Blanchard vs. Hartwell. I try with Hartwell but just don’t see it.
