Evening Daily News Update
By Garth Holmberg on 16 June 2025
Good Evening, Doom Squad and Happy 6-1-6 Day! It’s Monday, and you know what that means… it’s Monday Night Raw! Last week, The World’s Greatest Hero Gunther reclaimed his Championship from Rikishi’s Favorite Son Last Week Jey Uso. Tonight, the King and Queen of the Ring Qualifying Matches continue in Fatal 4-Way Form. The men’s side will feature Sheamus, Rusev, Bronson Reed, and Jey Uso, while for the women, it’s the returning ASUKA, Ivy Nile, Stephanie Vaquer, and Raquel Rodriguez. Liv Morgan will face Kairi Sane, and likely add to last week’s encounter with Nikki Bella. Kat will be back later tonight with all the details.
Rock Star Gary has the January 23rd, 1988 episode of World Class, Jabroniville and the Internet Archives bring us the latest Joshi Spotlight, What the World Was Watching continues with the February 19, 1994 episode of Superstars (I forgot Raw was preempted for the Doggies), and YOURS TRULY brings us the Fan-Cam Files with a B-Show from June 30th, 1994 in the backyard of the Young Bucks (not literally).
Jon Moxley and AEW Facing Lawsuit From 2023 Incident
You know what would help avoid incidents like this? Production meetings… or having talent and extras on the same page for such an occasion. Now we wait to see how much bank the person walked away with following the Steve Austin incident at this year’s WrestleMania.
Mark Madden To Appear at TNA Event
Just what the world needed, an obnoxious pr_ck who think he’s better than everyone else crawling out of his basement to try and act like he means something. I was going to tack “in 2025” at the end of that last sentence, but that would imply he meant something to begin with, period. Hopefully it’ll be for one match and we can all take a 20-minute poop break to avoid it.
YouTube Spotlight: 2-Hours of Action Packed Battle Royals!
Watch Superstars crowd into the ring for jam-packed, over-the-top-rope action in this compilation of Battle Royals featuring Andre the Giant, Hulk Hogan, Kurt Angle, Vader, Hornswoggle and many more!
Two blockbuster trades over the weekend! In the NBA, the Memphis Grizzlies sent Desmond Bane to the Orlando Magic for FOUR UNPROTECTED FIRSTS (as well as KCP and Cole Anthony), and not to be outdone, the Boston Red Sox finally had enough of Rafel Devers not being a team player and shipped him to San Francisco. The NBA Finals has become a Best out of 3, with Game 5 tonight in Oklahoma City. The ratings might be in the toilet, but the quality of play should not go ignored (unless you’re Stephen A. Smith and you’re paid $20 mil a year to play Solitaire WHILE THE GAME IS LIVE, AND NOT DURING A TIMEOUT, YOU LYING SACK OF ASS).
You know how this works. Keep it clean, have yourselves a good evening, and come out dooming. – GH (Obediah Toppin’s #1 Super-Mega Fan!!!)
