TNA Impact Review June 5, 2025

Previously on…TNA (or TNANXT) Santana took the mantle to defend TNA’s honor whilst Steve Maclin defeated Matt Cardona. But all eyes soon focused on NXT as Santana and Wiliams fought for the title. AJ Francis returned to NXT with KC Navarro (but not beefing) to ensure Williams gets the victory to set up his battle at Against All Odds with Elijah.

But, that is the future, this is today in Brampton, ON in our last taped show before we hit the valley of the sun in Arizona. Hannifan and Rewholdt are here, you are here and I am here so let’s engage in some Impactful discourse, shall we? We shall.

Indi Hartwell vs. Tasha Steelz

Hartwell enters first. Steelz enters the ring with just the Great Hands in tow and her previous music with her “Boricua Bad A—” look. Steelz jumps Hartwell at the bell rig and beats her down. Steelz beats down Hartwell with a series of forearms and chops. Steelz stomps her down and continues the beat down, only stopping to pose. Hartwell reverses a whip to the turnbuckle and Hartwell attacks Steelz with a series of chops and forearms of her own. Steelz recovers and hits a headbutt. However, Steelz misses a charge to the ropes and a forearm and kick sends Tasha to the floor. However, Hartwell tried to boot Steelz, who reversed it into a slam on the apron (which is the hardest part of the ring.) Steelz puts Hartwell back in the ring and hits a snap mare into a double foot rake to Hartwell’s face.

Three elbow drops get two for Steelz. Hartwell attempts a comeback but Steelz boots her to the stomach twice. Steelz chokes Hartwell on the second rope with her boot, followed by a forearm and knee. Steelz hits a Sliced Bread for two. Steelz continues to beat on Hartwell and hits the chinlock. Hartwell temporarily breaks free with a jaw breaker but Steelz counters that into a codebreaker for two. Hannifan makes the curious statement that

“This is the ‘Indi Wrestling’ people all over the world have come to know.” As Hartwell is gasping for air after the sustained offense by Steelz. Two running forearms land for Steelz but the third is reversed and Hartwell slams Steelz. A spinebuster gets two. Steelz pushes Hartwell to the ropes as the John Skyler starts to bicker with Jason Hotch since Hotch will not interfere and do further damage to Hartwell. Steelz begins to yell at Hotch. This gives Hartwell time to recover and hit the big boot on Steelz. The Hurts, Don’t It (a twisting Jaded face first slam) finishes it for Hartwell.

Indi heads up the ramp as Ali marches down and is not pleased. He makes the proverbial beeline to Steelz but Steelz is apologetic. Ali shoves the referee down and then shoves Steelz down to a loud chorus of boos. Hotch had seen enough and steps in front of Ali. The fans want Hotch to kick Ali’s butt. Ali just smiles and walks away. Steelz reluctantly walks with him as Skyler does, too. Hotch remains in the ring, a man conflicted, as we move to break.

We cone back to the action with Mance Warner and Steph DeLander. Warner complimented Maclin on his battles with Young and Cardona saying he went through hell and came out the other side. The only difference is Warner lives in hell and now Maclin has a target on his aesthetically pleasing head. DeLander adds “See you soon, soldier boy.”

We stay In the back to Tasha Steelz on the phone with someone as Skyler enters scene. Skyler apologizes to Steelz for Ali, saying he has been under a lot of stress. Skyler grabs the phone and tells the person on the other line it’s the wrong number and keeps the phone. Ali enters the scene and wants to ensure all is okay. However, Hotch enters scene. Ali doesn’t want to hear Hotch because he knows he is here to apologize. He understands that he is a young man and full of energy. However, the motto of Order Four is that actions have consequences, and the consequences of Hotch’s actions is a match at Against All Odds….with Ali.

Eric Young (with Northern Armory in tow) Vs. Moose (with JDC in tow)

Moose has a muted entrance in that there is only one System member with him and the new chryon and theme is not there but rather his old theme. After the lock up, Moose backs Young into the corner but misses a chop. Young reverses it into the 10-punch corner attack. However, Moose reverses that into a reverse atomic drop. Young recovers to pick up Moose(!) and hang in the tree of woe on the corner. From there, Young brings back the Team Canada tradition of standing on the turnbuckle and on Moose’s groin to sing the Canadian National Anthem. The Northern Armory provide referee distraction as Young – and the Brampton faithful – sing THE ENTIRE ANTHEM.

Moose eventually recovers and whips Young into the corner but eats a forearm. Young goes to the second turnbuckle but Moose catches him into a sit-out powerbomb for two. Moose throws Young to the ropes, but Young holds on and sends a hard-charging Moose to the floor. A second rope dive from Young is stopped by a Moose punch (moose knuckle, I kid, I kid.) and a chokeslam to the apron (hardest part, etc.) Moose whips Young into the ring steps. The Brampton folks rally Young to just beat the count into the ring. We have another hard-charging Moose but Young backdrops him to the floor and NOW hits the between ropes dive.

Both men are back in the ring and Moose throws Young to the turnbuckle but Young gets the Flair flip, flop and fly (in this case would be the Flin-Flon, flip, flop and fly. Consult the internet on Bobbie Clarke.) Moose meets him at the other turnbuckle but gets belted down by Young. Young goes up and hits a bodypress for two. Moose and Young engage in a chop-off but Moose drops Young with a boot, goes to the top and hits a nice reverse bodypress for two. Moose attempts a piledriver but Young reverses it into a Death Valley Driver for two. Moose recovers and throws Young face first into the turnbuckle. Moose sets up for a spear but Young moves and Moose hits the corner. Young hits a cradle for two. Moose hits another big boot but Young nails a clothesline from the charging Moose. Young gets a piledriver for two-and-a-fraction but JDC drapes Moose’s foot on the ropes. Northern Armory run across the ring and hit JDC with a double spear. Whilst the referee was distracted, Moose hits a low blow and now the Spear gets the three.

Post-match, Moose heads up the ramp while the fans try to rally Young and the Northern Armory. One “fan” (more of a Ficus that goes by the name of Daddy Davis, according to the Internet) tries to hype up Young only to get..beaten on by Young and the Armory until the security breaks it up. Hannifan and Rewholdt are flummoxed by the unpredictability of Young.

We head back ad we get to hear from Dani Luna. Luna knows what they had with Spitfire and Jodi Threat. They fought with and for each other and they became a family. Spitfire didn’t get a fairy tale ending. But, Spitfire may be done but she is not and she can’t wait to show us just that.

Back from break, we continue with the dejected but determined portion of the broadcast with…..JOE HENDRY (clap, calp.) Hendry is very subdued but asked for this time. He has been reflecting on the loss to Trick Williams. It’s been hard for him because this past year has been an absolute whirlwind for him. He felt he was taking TNA to new heights and now the title is in the hands of someone who is not here. Hendry said he dropped the ball and let down everyone, the fans, his peers and himself. Williams doesn’t appreciate the history of TNA like he did. The TNA title was for us. He wants nothing more than another shot but he understands Elijah is next and Hendry will give him his full support (wither Santana?) Hendry had been watching TNA since he was a kid way back in 2002 (that’s..not a great childhood???) We wanted that fans to feel they could achieve anything like he did.

This was a great interview only to be interrupted by….Frankie Kazarian. He enters the scene with mock applause and wonders was he bullied in school whilst Kazarian was building his kingdom here and would not have lost to someone not on the roster. Hendry should be embarrassed and at Against All Odds, Kazarian gets one more shot to embarrass him.

What is not embarrassing is back in the ring as the Personal Concierge tells us that Brampton is a hellhole (cannot verify that) and we are all degenerates (definitely unverifiable.) However, we should sit and show some respect for Heather and M…..By Elegance.

By Elegance vs. Harley Hudson and Maggie Grace

Is Heather really small or is M(aggie) really tall? I think probably both. Hudson and Grace get moderate/decent applause. Hudson and M start. M puts Hudson in corner. Hudson gets the advantage with a series of kicks and a snapmare into an armlock and cradle gets two. Hudson lands a northern lights suplex and legdrops the arm for another two counts. Grace is tagged in and grabs a headlock with she turns to snapmare and a series of kicks to the head, body and legs of M drops her to the canvas as Maggie hits a sitting dropkick. Hudson tagged back in and a double chop and double leg sweep get two.

By Elegance stem the tide as Heather grabs Grace’ leg and M beats down Hudson. M tags in Heather and grabs Hudson in a bow and arrow hold as Heather goes to the top and hits a double foot stomp. Heather hits a snapmare and follows with a series of knees and a surfboard submission. Hudson gets to her feet and hits a jawbreaker to break the hold. Hudson desperately tries to get the tag but M catches her carries her (nice feat of strength) to the middle of the ring. Hudson flips out and hits a shoulderblock to give her time to finally crawl to the corner and make the hot tag to Grace. Grace enters with clotheslines for everybody. Grace hits two running kicks and a suplex (ish, think Chris Nowinski’s old finisher) gets two as does a Saito Suplex before M breaks it up. Hudson gets rid of M and Grae goes to the top but the Personal Concierge distracts the referee. A big boot clears Hudson on the floor. Heather tags M and hits a top turnbuckle Spanish Fly as M gets to the top and Hits a nice moonsault for the victory.

Bioflex update Tessa Blanchard still day-to-day (aren’t we all) with her jaw injury (that narrows the field.) Cardona is bruised but ready to go.

We get a look at two green-lit rooms (the second time) and we get ready for the Monster’s Ball match after break.

Rosemary vs. Xia Brookside

Rosemary still is from the undead realm (which is still here on Earth, right?)

Brookside…is acting. She is reluctant to head down the ramp because she has been in darkness and had no food or water for 24 hours (as has Rosemary.) Even with the darkness, she is wearing a nice pink and blue denim shorts and pink denim jacket. Hair looks great, too. She has skills, this one.

Rosemary misses two baking sheet shots. Brookside reverses and lands a series of chops and punches and hits an enziguri. Brookside takes off the jacket and starts to attack Rosemary (odd choice for first weapon.) Brookside stomps away in the corner and walks over to grab the belt. However, Rosemary rakes the eyes, grabs the belt and start to lash away at Brookside. She started to choke Brookside with the belt on the second turnbuckle.

Rosemary ventures out to the garbage o’ plunder, which included a hockey stick (because, Canada.) She wedges the garbage can between two turnbuckles in a corner as we head to break, with no picture-in-picture. That would have helped because when we get back, Brookside has the upperhand and there is a door set up on another turnbuckle. Both women are fighting to suplex the other into the door but Rosemary eventually hits a suplex but away from the door. Rosemary continues to attack, again with the belt, in the corner. After a series of kicks, Rosemary hits a Tarantula hold whilst choking Brookside with the belt. Rosemary broke the hold and dropped the belt. She went to the floor and toward the plunder. Meanwhile, Brookside grabbed the belt. Rosemary, however, grabbed a staple gun.

Back in the ring, Brookside blocked the staple gun and goes to town with the belt on Rosemary. Brookside grabs a bag full of (don’t let it be thumbtacks; don’t let it be thumbtacks)..hockey pucks. However, Rosemary took the opportunity to do some non-surgical stomach stapling. Brookside is in agony but fought through it to hit a Samoan drop on the pucks for two. Brookside continues to beat on Rosemary and hits a baking sheet shot. Brookside gets a two count from a DDT on the chairs. She then sets up all four chairs facing each other and places Rosemary on them. However, Rosemary arose and speared Brookside through the door. Rosemary gets a two count for that and then, after a garbage can shot, sets Brookside on the chairs and Rosemary goes to the top. However, Brookside powers up with a scream and heads to the top with the garbage can. Rosemary attempted to mist her but Brookside used the lid to block it. With Rosemary temporarily stunned, Brookside hit the Brooksy Bomb for the victory.

Post-match, Brookside was near tears and stared at her hands as her journey toward the darkside continues?

What does continue is a rapid fire Rascalz promo that featured them talking about Acestory.com and if the Nemeths are real brothers? We get Miguel and Wentz if they, themselves, are brothers and run through a litany of family and brothers in wrestling, complete with piped in sitcom laughter (I did crack Miguel mentioning Shelton Benjamin and his mother. That was a nice deep cut.)

We get another recap from Tuesday, this time with Elijah singing/talking his way through a decent promo. He said he doesn’t knock; he just comes through the door. He also mentioned Wiliams is hype not heart and that he won the title but lost the plot. And, at Against All Odds, he will find out why in TNA, they walk that way.

Lei Ying Lee gets some promo time as she practices some kick boxing. She hails from China and was not supposed to make it. She is not here to challenge Slamovich but to end Slamovich’s reign.

Back from break and Santino Marella heads to the ring. He got a huge pop as he gets the mic and wants to be serious. He said he is no longer the authority figure in TNA. He then quickly changed topics to the match at Against All Odds against Robert Stone. He laid out the stipulations for the match: if Stone wins, he gets Marella’s job an he is out. But if Marella wins Stone is out – sayonara, arrivederci, hit the bricks. He gets momentarily choked up talking about his family and missing a lot of Arianna’s life. He was happy to be home because he missed his family and there was a lot of suffering. However, when he got the job with TNA, he fell in love again with wrestling and felt that way for the last two-and-a-half years. The reason why is that he does it for the fans and that was always the case. So, he will be stepping down on June 6, but reinstated on June 7 after he beats Stone.

Naturally Stone appears at the rampway with Vicotria Crawford. Sone is feigning tears and gets a loud “you suck” chant from the audience. Stone mocks Marella and the fans. He said Marella wasn’t a leader but a loser. When he beats Marella at Against All Odds, Marella is never allowed to step foot in TNA. Impact will also be named to the Sheriff Stone Show. Marella finished it by saying he has two small kids at home and he always taught them to stand up for what they believe. He will stand up for TNA and not let it become some would corporation.

Speaking of soulless corporations, let’s look at some advertisements.

Afterwards, Slamovich gives her segment. She was looking for a real challenger and a real warrior and that is what Lee is. That being said, Slamovich can see through Lee’s (expletive) soul. Slamovich said every warrior has a ceiling. She concluded that it was high time she beats the best.

Leon Slater, Matt Hardy and Mike Santana vs. the Nemeths and Frankie Kazarian

All wrestlers make their customary entrances (including Santana walking though the crowd, still yeet-less.) The action starts immediately as all six square off against each other and Hardy slams Kazarian’s head down the turnbuckles. Slater is tagged in and we get a combo leg drop and body splash which leads to a poetry in motion for Slater on Ryan. Santana enters the fracas and hits a cannonball to Ryan. Slater tags in Hardy who drops the elbow from the second rope on Kazarian’s arm. Kazarian attempted to stem the tide by tossing Hardy to the topes and Nick landed a knee to Hardy. Nonetheless, Hardy continued the attack until Nick tripped up Hardy allowing Kazarian to hit a springboard leg drop. Kazarian pounded away on Hardy and shoved Hardy into heir corner.

Nick tagged in and attacked Hardy (aided by Ryn choking him in the ropes.) Nick started to land some body shots (a la Mike McCallum, RIP, you were always a favorite of mine.) Nick started to choke Hardy with his boot on the turnbuckles. Nemeth applied to Hardy but Hardy gradually fought of it and a jawbreaker broke the hold. Slater with the hot tag and clotheslines everyone on the heel side. The Nemeths tried to subdue Slater but got caught with a handspring back elbow to the Nemeths who bailed to the floor. Slater hit a top rope plancha and rolled nick into the ring as a large TNA chant broke out. Ryan grabbed Slater’s boot to let Nick try the Danger Zone, however, Slater fought out of it and hit a blue thumber bomb for two on Nick. Kazarian ran Slater’s shoulder into the corner to stem the tide. Nemeth attempted a superkick but Slater beat him to it and hit a leg lariat. Ryan tagged in and Santana tagged in and Santana hits a series of clotheslines on the heels, Santana pushed Ryan to the corner but Kazarian stopped him. A double clothesline missed and a rolling back cutter gets two. Ryan attempted to slug away at Santana but Santana rebounded with a DVD for two. Nick attacked Santana but Hardy entered the ring and hit the twist of fate. A twist of fate attempt on Kazarian was reversed to a back stabber. Kazarian threw Slater over the ropes but Slater landed on the apron and jumped over the top rope for the twist of Slate. Slater went to the top but Ryan crotched him on the turnbuckle. Santana grabbed Ryan and attempted the reverse rolling cutter but Ryan reversed to a cradle for two. Ryan laid some forearms on Santana but after running the ropes, Santana hit the Spin the Block for the victory.

Post-match, the faces celebrate as Hannifan and Rewholdt emphasize the importance of tomorrow.
