Evening Daily News Update – June 5th, 2025
By Garth Holmberg on 5 June 2025
FROM THE PAGES OF THE BOD MAGAZINE, HERE’S UPDATE!
Good evening everyone… It’s Thursday, and you know what that means! The NBA Finals FINALLY BEGIN as the Indiana Pacers visit the Oklahoma City Thunder in the biggest battle of who the hell cares outside of 1% of the basketball-viewing population. Oh, there’s wrestling tonight, too. TNA Impact is your main attraction, or you can be cool like me and watch Ring of Honor on HonorClub.com. I refuse to find ROH spoilers and take the fun out of everything.
Karrion Kross Contract Status
Kross’ current deal is set to expire this Summer, which might be the best time for him, considering the buzz he’s getting from audiences after spinning his tires in the mud for what felt like forever. I’m not saying push him as a main event guy, but he’s got some value for the mid-card.
Goldberg Retirement Match Coming Soon
The 58-year-old former World Champion has had several setbacks while training… I’m only going to guess it’s because he’s pushing 60, hasn’t been active in the business beyond an occasional 90-second rush job, and is chasing a fat paycheck regardless. I just hope WWE advertises Dude Wipes during his match.
YouTube Showcase: 2017 Impact Marathon
Did you forget that TNA/Impact/GFW was still a thing in 2017? Well the TNA YouTube channel has you covered! None of the Vault channels featuring WWE or classic content owned by WWE seems to be very interesting today, unless you love episodes of Thunder from 2000. The weekly NXT TV is at the episode where Asuka signs her contract, which is a fun time to jump in for me, since this is when I really got into NXT. 1-hour episodes of TV… perfect!
BREAKING NEWS: Aaron Rodgers expected to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers. I’m sure that will work out well for them… Earlier today, the Atlanta Braves blew a 10-4 lead in the 9th inning, dropping the game to the Arizona Diamondbacks 11-10. LOL. L-O-F’N-L. Last night, the Edmonton Oilers stole game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals from the Florida Panthers in a game that honestly felt like it might never end… speaking of never-ending, HOLY CRAP, that 4-hour block of AEW. You have so much talent under contract and THAT was the best you could do? I hope the last quarter hour drew 300… not thousand, 300.
Sonic has last night’s episode of WWE Evolve for us who chose the death march of Fyter Fest, and Phrederic brings us more of All Japan’s Champion Carnival from April 29th.
As always, keep it clean, enjoy some Nintendo Switch 2 for you sons of bitches who got their pre-orders, and come out dooming. – GH (Obi Toppin’s #1 Fan!!!)
