I understand this man was a saint among men apparently but the WWE kept him under contract for 17 years! Who else has gotten that kind of run at that company? You could probably count them on two hands. He wrestles maybe 10 times a year and has done everything possible in the company including main eventing PPVS with John Cena. How long were they supposed to keep him under contract as a wrestler? Maybe they offered him a road agent deal or a Titus O’Neal brand ambassador type contract to sign and he said no because he thinks he can still go. I just find it hard to see how he got a raw deal from these people.
Given their history with people who WANT to leave and get frozen for injury time or whatever and paid out in order to keep them from signing elsewhere, it’s just weird that they’d cut ties with someone who clearly wanted to be there and worked cheap.
