Evening Daily News Update – June 2nd, 2025

By Garth Holmberg on 2 June 2025

FROM THE PAGES OF THE BOD MAGAZINE, HERE’S UPDATE…

RIP John Brenkus, best known for his work on Sports Science. Brenkus publicly battled depression for years. He was 54.

RIP Jonathan Joss, best known as the voice of John Redcorn on King of the Hill. New details from Joss’ husband tells an (alleged) ugly picture of targeted violence based on their choice of lifestyle. He was 59.

Good evening, Blog o’ Doomers. It’s Monday, and you know what that means. We’ve got Monday Night Raw tonight as we continue the road to Money in the Bank. CM Punk, AJ Styles and El Grande Americano will compete in a men’s qualifier, while Stephanie Vaquer, Liv Morgan and Ivy Nile will compete for the women. Also on the card, Yeet Man and Sami take on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, and then from there, we have The War Raiders vs Finn and JD of the Judgment Day. There’s gonna be a Tussle in Tulsa tonight, and it is indeed a happening.

Sarah Logan Reveals Contract Won’t Be Renewed
Sarah broke the news herself in an emotional post late this afternoon.

WWE and Slim Jim Extend Sponsorship Deal
The WWE and Slim Jim partnership will include the center ring advertisement logo AND tables with the Slim Jim branding. I know, some people are going to get fake mad about this and complain about THE SANCTITY OF THE RING, but if you’re really distracted by the corporate logos, you would hate look at the outfield walls of a Minor League Baseball stadium (among others).

Cora Jade and Gigi Dolin Ready For The Next Chapter
With the non-competes of their releases about to expire, both women are making the best of the situation and looking to create new memories for their fans… and I mean as in-ring talent, not for potential thirst traps, which I’m sure most people are not complaining about.

YouTube Showcase: 5 Forgotten Ladder Matches

The WWE Vault brings us 70+ minutes worth of ladder matches that you might not remember, like Shawn Michaels vs. Goldust, The British Bulldog vs. Double J, and MORE!!

SOME SPORTS TO LIGHTEN THE MOOD…
The Colorado Rockies are currently sitting at 9-50 in the standings, officially the worst start in league history… I don’t mean modern era, I MEAN DEAD BALL AND BARNSTORMIN’ ERA TOO. The next worst was 11-49, and it wasn’t the Spiders! They started 12-49 in 1899 before the wagon was intentionally set ablaze because an owner was allowed to operate two franchises and filter talent from one to the other. The New New York Mets sit atop the National League East as the bumbling Phillies were swept by the Milwaukee Brewers. Also, the Yankees got MUDHOLE STOMPED over the weekend 18-2 by the LA Dodgers. It was so bad, Ohtani fell asleep in the dugout.

The Indiana Pacers sent my beloved New York Knicks to Cancun. We wish Obi Toppin the best in his quest for a ring.

Kat will be with you later tonight with a recap of Raw. Jabroniville has the Joshi Spotlight, Rock Star Gary has some World Class from January 1988, and Phrederic continues playing catch up with All Japan’s Champion Carnival. All this and more for your enjoyment. Support your favorites and give everyone a chance, or if you know you’re going to hate something, just scroll to the next option.

As always, keep it clean and come out dooming. – GH (Obi Toppin’s #1 Fan)
