Won’t somebody think of the children?

Your Halloween Havoc review got me thinking…when I was a kid Hogan vs. Giant in a monster truck match sounded like the coolest shit ever. Now? Not so much.
So I'm wondering: how (or how much) should appealing to younger generations drive the wrestling product?
We love workrate and coherent storytelling, but there's the innate childlike draw of colorful superhero-looking characters like Cody battling the forces of evil, 7-foot giants, etc.
What's the line between child friendly and childish?
Look, no offence intended, but if you thought the monster truck match sounded cool, then you were kind of a dumb kid. Did your parents let you eat paint chips as a snack? Drop you on your head a lot? It’s ok, this is a safe space to share. I’m sorry they raised you so poorly.
