Good evening, Blog Otters. It’s Thursday, and you know what that means! TNA Impact tonight as the featured content for you pro wrestling fans… unless they changed the name again, like HBO Max. Sometimes I can’t keep up with that stuff.
New Orleans a No-Go for WrestleMania
WrestleMania 42 will be looking for a new host. What is it the kids say these days, dead by Easter? Hopefully they can find a location that can run it the second half of March or first week of April at the latest… what’s this? We have unconfirmed reports that WrestleMania will return to Las Vegas! Sounds like TKO told New Orleans “We owe you one” and decided to run it back.
Bret Hart’s favorite niece is looking to make an impact for WWE’s developmental system. Maybe she can take Nikkita Lyons under her wing, since WWE is determined to get SOMETHING out of MAGA The Stallion. I guess it’s better than whatever the hell that Twitter/X image was of her looking like she was in the preview image of a weird fetish website (don’t ask me to go and find it).
Sports, Sports and More Sports…
The Carolina Hurricanes host the Florida Panthers for Game 2 of their Eastern Conference Finals, and you could say it’s a must-win for the ‘Canes after the smack-down Florida laid on them in Game 1. The Western Conference Finals resumes tomorrow, with Dallas winning the opening game of the series against Edmonton.
Game 2 of the NBA Western Conference Finals is tonight, with the Thunder up on Minnesota. It seems like teams can hang with OKC through the first half, but cannot adjust coming out of halftime. We saw it with Denver in Game 7 of the WCSF, and we saw something similar from Game 1 on Tuesday Night. There was a game last night. Someone won. We move on… … What? FINE. The Indiana Pacers made an improbable comeback, including the most ridiculous hollywood moment where Tyrese Haliburton tied the game at the buzzer after the ball bounced a legit 10+ feet in the air before splashing through the net, sending the game to Overtime, and Knicks fans (myself) included, crying into their pillow. I really enjoyed this nugget right here…
