When you’re still learning the language
By Scott Keith on 20 September 2024
It’s pretty obvious HHH is much more comfortable than Vince was putting a microphone in front of someone who doesn’t have the best command of the English language. Watching someone like Giulia, or even Iyo, speak, though, it’s a little jarring to hear someone obviously struggle with English, but still attempt WWE bubble language in promos.
I, personally, still think it’s a net positive, as it allows the wrestler to connect with the crowd, rather than either staying silent, or doing it through a manager. What do others think? How can the presentation be made a bit smoother and more natural there?
Why even have them talk? Giulia hardly strikes me as the kind of character who would be concerned with the NXT Universe and all that nonsense. Sometimes it’s ok to let the music do the talking, to quote Aerosmith.
