Realism in Wrestling
By Scott Keith on 16 September 2024
Hey Scott,
The Dynamite thread last week got me thinking about realism in wrestling.
In real life, I can switch from babyface to heel and back in the same day.
Is it better off like that with shades of grey or do we need clearly defined good guys and bad guys mixed in with blowing up houses and cults of people doing spooky stuff?
I personally think it’s the latter since at the end of the day it’s a TV show right?
Hard to do a mix and match.
Also, any consideration to reviewing RAW when it goes 2 hours from 10/7 to end of the year and/or going to Survivor Series in Vancouver?
I won't be going to Survivor Series, but I'll likely review RAW once it goes to two hours, yes.
And yes, I strongly agree that we need heels and babyfaces, or at the very least characters with strongly defined personalities. Swerve can be booed or cheered based on the circumstances but we know who Swerve is and can react accordingly. That's the most important thing.
