Marvel v. DC

By Scott Keith on 16 September 2024

Hi Scott,
If Marvel and DC worked like wrestling territories whereby
characters could move from one territory to another, who would you have have
switch sides and why? When would have been the best time for them to
jump?
If we extend it to the movie/TV side of things, I think
Deadpool in the Snyderverse would be a natural.
It's funny because I'm 100% a DC guy for the comics, but I hate most of the movies they've done. Spider-Man is the only Marvel title I regularly collected for many years but the MCU has made me feel a much more personal connection to the Marvel side.
Anyhoo, I'd send Captain America to DC because he could slot in better as a Nazi-punching hero from the Golden Age and transition easily with the rest of the Justice Society into the modern age. I think Iron Man would fit in well with Batman and (Ted Kord) Blue Beetle and the other self-made billionaire heroes in DC and has enough personality to not get lost in the shuffle or overshadowed.
In return, I'd send the Big Red Cheese, Captain Marvel, to Marvel, because he hasn't felt like he belongs with DC in ages and also IT'S IN HIS NAME. That would finally give Marvel a legit Superman-level top babyface and lots of fun new dynamics to play off.
