Rarely known “Because WCW” moment uncovered.

Richard Land of the “Masked Wrestlers” Twitter account found some rare footage in his collection.

When Steve Austin's TV Title win over Bobby Eaton was taped on June 3, 1991, Lady Blossom's interference at the finish was done right in front of Nick Patrick. Due to this, WCW had them re-do the match at another TV taping the next night, and that rematch is what aired in the United States.

Somehow, though, the original match with the botched finish was the one sent to air on TV in the UK.

I don’t wanna relitigate Bash 91 yet again, but I still don’t get why they had to change the TV title in a quickie switch on a syndicated show immediately instead of just doing a nice long title match at the PPV. The title change wasn’t even aired until weeks later anyway. And the PPV match made no sense anyway!
