Caught Red Handed

Considering the large Observer crowd on here, including what seems to be high amount of respect for his analysis on the business aspects of wrestling, are you guys questioning your support at this point after the rough week he is having? You have to be wondering what else he has lied about or reported without properly sourcing the Intel he gets. This week alone he reported Afa passing away when he hadn't yet, reported WWE was purposely keeping Jacob Fatu off TV to avoid Roman interactions only to have Jacob attack Roman on Smackdown, and then was busted this weekend for shoddy reporting about WBDs value of AEW in what he called an internal memo. The problem is the “internal memo” was some fake post on fightfuls discord from April, which Dave was either dumb enough to not realize or even worse, reported it hoping no one would catch on.
For the longest time its been evident he doesn't have sources when it comes to backstage stuff, but most subscribers touted his acumen when came to the business side. This would seem dispute that. And I understand wrestling media isn't held to the same standards other journalists are, but considering how easy this would have been to source if Dave wanted to, how do you not question his integrity and wonder how long this has been going on for? Like there is no way Dave believed WBD valued AEW at the same price WWE was by fox at 288 million a year. Even with PPVs included there is no way they are getting over 200% increase. NXT gets 25 million a year while doing similar numbers to Dynamite, while Raw beats all of AEWs show combined when you add the numbers up. It's bad enough Dave reported this number and tried to make it sound legit, but passing it off as a real internal memo from WBD just shows he at best is an idiot, and at worst, an unethical fraud. If your Observer reviews aren't fact checking what he reported, maybe you should be?
You sound really obsessed. Maybe go take a nice walk and calm down a bit. I'm assuming you don't subscribe to the Observer as it is, so why worry about him so much?
