What is ROH

Good morning Mr. Keith, hope your family is safe and sound. I have no idea how far or close you are to Jasper, I just know you live in Canada and, well, there you have it.

So in the past couple weeks I've been checking daily for updates on AEW's new tv deal, and hoping i get them streaming on a platform asap so I can binge happily through that catalog. TK recently stated in an interview, “It’s tremendous for ROH to be involved in this. It’s something we have discussed, it’s a great brand. We produce great content weekly and the pay-per-view shows, as well as a great library of historical content and trademarks, and IP opportunities. It’s an active conversation now and Ring of Honor is part of the bigger AEW discussions that we’re having.”

Now i get the library and just having ROH attached to an AEW deal as a bonus, but he always sounds more excited for ROH than AEW. . But can someone, even TK, explain to me what exactly the purpose of ROH is supposed to be? it's been 2 years and it's been integrated so much into AEW tv and vice versa, it comes off hes trying to make his own brand warfare and get them on the same level, and I think the majority of fans don't want that. Does AEW even have a farm system setup? How much money is being poured into ROH as it is? Does anyone at WBD even give a hollerin hoot about ROH?!?

No I still don’t understand the point of it. Now they’ve un-unified the six man titles and we’re getting those back again this weekend too. I was fine with them letting the promotion die and using the footage as filler in an AEW streaming service but I don’t get who the differentiating fan base for this new ROH stuff is even supposed to be.
