I was looking back at Cody Rhodes' run since returning to WWE and am curious if it's possible that his torn pectoral in 2022 was kind of a blessing in disguise? First of all, it created a real moment when he wrestled with that gnarly injury at Hell In A Cell, but it also kept him fresh at a time when Roman was rolling, the whole business was rebounding from the pandemic, and WWE was going through the ultimate transition from Vince's control to HHH running creative. When Cody returned at the 2023 Royal Rumble, he was practically an entirely new addition to the roster because he had basically only had that one feud with Rollins when he jumped from AEW a year earlier. Even though he lost to Roman at WM 39, everything he faced for the next year was a new story that serviced the overall storyline about winning the WWE title. Do you think he'd have been in that same position if he had not missed all that time right after returning in 2022?

I think it really put him over the top as a WWE guy who wasn’t just there for the money and earned him a ton of Fonzie cool points with fans.
