Listen, I understand promoters got to promote, and at the end of the day the wrestling business is all about being a carny. But to me, the reason alot of people can't take Tony seriously is cause of the ridiculous things he tries to pass off as truth. He recently said Edge was having the greatest run of his career in AEW, and he was dead serious about it. Like, I am no Edge megafan, but there is no way Tony can say that and expect to be taken seriously. The first part of Edges aew run sucked, he was instantly just a guy that was losing viewers weekly. His feud was Christian was fun, besides the moronic booking of him beating Christian and botchasaurus giving up his briefcase so Christian could win it back. He had a couple nice matches as champ and was able to showcase some different style of wrestling, but no one got over by wrestling him. Which is exactly what happened when he came back to WWE and why he left, he didn't to be the part time veteran who helped put people over. He should have never beaten Finn as the Demon, and look how much better JD was without him.

Right now his biggest highlight of his AEW run is jumping off a cage feet first and thinking he wasn't gonna get hurt, especially when he didn't even need to do the spot in the first place. Maybe the worst spot of the year. And he still didn't put over Black when he had to of known he was hurt badly. How did they not call an audible. I am glad Edge has gotten to come back and to end his career on his own terms. He def deserved it. I am glad he was able to get a mega pay day from Tony and talked him into a full time deal. But what Tony said was embarrassing and insulting to what was a legendary and hall of fame career before AEW was even an idea. Edge basically like Hogan or Foley in TNA, just taking Jacksonville Dixie's money that he clearly has too much of.
How DARE he spend his own money how he wants and try to convince people to watch his shows by promoting his talent. Worse than Hitler. At the very least a solid 0.6 Genghis Khan.
