Longtime reader since Wrestleline and Rantsylvania days. Thanks for writing so long, always enjoyed it and it’s been a big part of my wrestling life.
Question for you about GWF: I enjoyed the promotion as a kid and am enjoying your recap. The tag tournament has a nice thing with Conan Chris Walker and Steve Simpson. Chris Walker seemed to have the body and be charismatic enough to get a shot in WCW or WWF at the time. Any reason he never went anywhere else, or did he and I just missed him?
He looks a little like Tom Magee.
They gave him TONS of tryouts and he was on the WWF radar for a long time and might have even been signed , but it just never clicked. I assume he was also poison given his look at a time in the business when they wanted to avoid body guys.
