The latest point that WCW could have been saved?

I think it was going to be gone from Turner eventually no matter what, but another Network might have rolled the dice on them if the business was still successful

When do you think was the latest point that the promotion could have been rescued from the downward spiral?

I’m thinking autumn of 1999. If they get a better writing team than RussAra, then maybe the ship can be righted and they’re doing high 3’s/low 4’s in 2001 instead of low to middle 2’s?

There was no way of salvaging the “war” but maybe they could have lived to see another day on a network like FX?



Definitely 99. They were still doing mostly strong ratings and hadn't started REALLY bleeding money yet. I'd say right when Bischoff got fired, they could have moved to another network and probably survived for a long time based on the talent and numbers they had.
