WWE Network/Peacock 720p vs. 1080p

A bit of a technical question for the blog. I believe it is now possible to stream all WWE Network content in 1080p. I'm wondering if there is a noticeable difference between 720p and 1080p as it relates to older content. It's not like
shows were being filmed in HD prior to 2007 or so (?). What would be the ideal resolution for Wrestlemania 3, for example? Thanks!

There would be no noticeable difference because the original source wouldn't be high enough resolution to upscale. Really for anything pre-HD your best bet is gonna be 480. For me, I watch on a 13″ Macbook screen anyway, so even current content doesn't make a huge difference for me.
