The MJF Problem

Scott,

Thinking about MJF and wondering if his character still works to the level it did previously.

I mean he can’t do the free agent thing anymore and talk about the competition endlessly now that the WWE product is much better than it used to be.

The religion thing is way too sore a subject to draw attention to these days as well.

I mean he can do the babyface thing and get revenge on the Undisputed Kingdom, who are half injured and didn’t even cost him the title.

I still think he gets a big pop when he likely returns at Forbidden Door 6 months to the day he was last seen, at his hometown arena to boot.

But then what?

Also, in an alternate universe, if Luke Perry is still with us, does Punk ever leave AEW?



More importantly, if Luke Perry was still around, would Archie have been mauled by that bear? I'm still bitter that we never actually got to see the bear attack.

As for MJF, I dunno man. Six months seems optimistic for his return at this point given he destroyed his shoulder and he was suffering from a laundry list of stuff. I think a year is a far more realistic time to return, and even that is being conservative. I don't even know what they could do with him yet, because the whole complexion of the promotion will likely be different once he comes back.
