Not defending their defending at all, but I understand where they're coming from here. If the Vince deal goes to trial, there's gonna be discovery and WWE's corporate team is gonna have to reveal some pretty big skeletons in the closet. WWE wants it to go away in a hurry and wash their hands of everyone involved, so they want it resolved in arbitration and then never have anyone talk about it ever again. Best case for them is likely they cut her a gigantic cheque and finish erasing Vince McMahon from history for good and then HHH can go back to his hard-hitting press conferences in peace again.
