You were absolutely spot on with your assessment of AEW. According to the comments to that email, everyone agreed for the most part. It's really apparent that AEW has a problem.

I would even go as far to say that if the events that took place last year (sale to Endeavor and Vince's exit) would have taken place in 2016/2017…then AEW wouldn't even exist right now. Dean Ambrose would have been given the creative freedom everyone in WWE is enjoying right now, The Elite would have been comfortable signing with WWE, and most everyone on the AEW roster would be under the WWE umbrella.

AEW only ever came into existence because people hated Vince McMahon's creative in WWE so bad.

RAW, Smackdown and NXT would have been the equivalent of what RAW, Smackdown and Dynamite are today. Evolve would be the developmental show from the Capitol Wrestling Center.

I think that's a fair assessment. Really the problem was Vince and getting rid of him, for real, would have fixed most of the major issues plaguing WWE at that point.
