Take a shot, it’s a Punk question

Yes, I'm doing this. But it's an angle I haven't seen presented before.
I've seen elsewhere on the blog people wondering why AEW fans still care about what Punk says or does. After all, he's not even working for the company anymore. I'm not an AEW fan, but I think the reason why is simple: I can't think of another case other than the Russo days of WCW/TNA where backstage drama impacted the onscreen product as much as the Punk/AEW incidents. The AEW World and Trios champions had to vacate their belts (even if Punk's injury made the former inevitable), the Elite all got suspended, it ended up leading to Jack Perry referencing the glass drama on screen, and now he's doing a (hopefully) worked shoot program acknowledging how smarks think he's made to be the fall guy over the Punk drama. You can't ignore the Punk drama in AEW because it's actually impacted the booking of the show to this day.
Absolutely. It was a huge story and pretending like it should just be ignored and “move on” is kind of ridiculous. They created an entire new show for him!
