It's interesting that Punk confirmed what we all thought. That he was basically about to leave AEW after Brawl In. Also interesting that Tony persuaded him to stay by saying he'll give him his own show with only the people he got along with in order to keep him happy. Do you think the Hangman stuff is when things started to detoriate between Punk and The Elite?
Sure seems like it. It also seems likely that Punk’s “innocent” visit to WWE in 2023 was him making amends with Hunter and then deciding to get himself fired so he could go back. There were a lot of people who could have handled a lot of things a lot better.
