Undertaker has been making noise about another match. Sting has said he'd come out of retirement for a match with Undertaker. What if…..
Undertaker goes on a massive HEEL run…..interfering randomly when a babyface is strongly supported by the crowd. This could be ppv matches, tv matches etc. He becomes such a nuisance that the fans can' help but hate him. He then goes full blown sadistic ala his 99 run but with the aesthetics of his 91-92 run. But he's such a pain in the ass that the fans can't help but kinda boo him.
Enter WM season.
Someone (whoever is hottest at the moment) gets a bigtime world title match on free tv. UNDERTAKER ruins it and tombstones the cheered face. At which point the “when man's heart is full of deceit” starts to play and there he is in the rafters….pointing a bat at Undertaker.
I mean. Yeah the match wont be shit. Yeah they're hundred years old. yeah they both had pretty respectable retirement matches. But this is pro wrestling. The spectacle sells more than anything else. What if both dudes came out of retirement for one last match. Chock full of GREAT build up moments and one last 8 minute match. Who gives a fuck who goes over. Hell have John Cena interfere and attack both, turning heel and going on one last heel run to truly give that credence. Who cares. I have to think even at WM 41 Sting vs. Undertaker has some ticket selling ability. Granted that's the last last LAST fucking chance. But still.
Pretty sure Sting is still under long term contract to AEW. But otherwise it’s an airtight scenario.
