When Tony Schiavone was the voice of WCW in their waning days, I couldn't stand him.
Over the next many years, I begin to realize that it wasn't really Tony that I despised. He was unfortunately the voice (and often the main shill) associated with a failing promotion.
Since he has returned after a lengthy wrestling absence and become one of the head commentators in AEW, I consider him one of the best in the business once again.
How do you feel about Tony as a commentator these days in comparison to his late WCW days?
He’s 1000% better than WCW because he’s actually engaged again and not carrying years of bitterness towards his bosses. Simple as that.
