I figured you could use something different from Vince/Rock/Roman questions, so here's a Luger question! (Take a drink.) Lex was on fire as a heel in 89 and even made his hasty face turn work. Plus he has the EXACT look that the WWF looks for. With that in
mind did they ever try to poach him from the NWA around this time? I mean, we always talk about how Warrior had no good opponents after he won the title, there's your opponent right there.

Luger was signed VERY long term as I understand it. I think the first time he was even available was the end of his contract in 1992. So no, as much as they would have loved to poach him, there was never an opportunity where they could even legally talk to him.
