Cody’s other backup plan

Good Morning Mr. Keith. I'm watching the Cody/Rock/Roman segment (ill reserve my opinion on that) and my wife, who has no idea of who is who and every ones motives, couldn't help but listen and thought Cody was the bad guy due to, and i'm quoting “the blond hair, blue eyes, and he sounds like he's preaching”. Now we all know how the crowd felt about Cody towards the end of his AEW run. And we all are aware he is the biggest babyface in the company now and he should ride that until they can't no more. But ever since his debut and the Homelander references, i always thought Cody has one of the best backup plans in recent years in case the crowd turns on him, if ever. He can totally pull off Homelander. He can become an amazing heel, not change a thing about his look, while absolutely convincing me everything he's doing is for the better and we, the fans, don't understand him. Let Cody finish his story, win the belt whenever, sell all the merch and complete a bunch of make-a-wish missions, but when that time comes he wants to go the Dark Side, I am ready for it and i think Cody is fully prepared.
Oh definitely. His whole “kiss the ring” period in ROH would slide perfectly into a heel run in WWE today.
