The build for this match is implying that Slaughter could get disqualified and then that would lead to a no disqualification blowoff.

The Last Word: After almost three years it was time to write off the Brother Love character because the act had grown tiresome. Having the Ultimate Warrior do it was the right choice because he had clashes with Love several times before this show and it also added to the build for the Warrior’s match with Randy Savage at WrestleMania. A post-WrestleMania feud seemed to be looming between Earthquake and the masked man, but the character would never see the ring because of concerns about the severity of Brutus Beefcake’s facial injuries.
