This is your official Wrestlemania 38 Sunday thread. Kickoff show kicks off at 6 p.m. on…somewhere, presumably Peacock, but we’ll see. Scott and Tommy have reviews on Wrestlemania Saturday…Tommy has both a live review and a review from watching it later, I swear that guy doesn’t sleep.
I’m still watching the last hour of Saturday’s show, so it was hard to stay away from spoilers so I did. Originally I thought Boogs’ injury was a work, but then I replayed it and right away I saw he was a MCL tear BEST CASE SCENARIO, but sadly he blew his quad out. That’s a tough break for him. Nakamura’s expression said it all. I wonder if they were booked to go over.
Glad to see Drew is still very much over despite getting shuttled down the card and cooled off. The crowd reaction should tell you something Vince! I do think he was supposed slice through all three ropes and the fact that he didn’t couldn’t have made this stunt a tragedy, but it’s all good.
Bianca-Becky was tremendous. Great heat throughout. Great storytelling. A little bit of timing issues aside it was great drama. And Becky is a tremendous pro for doing her part in building this up over 7-8 months and making sure the payoff was right and the visual was amazing. Bianca is clearly a success story from NXT.
The reaction for Cody was far more than I expected, but the presentation was great. He is coming in as the guy that he has had success with. What a great match too with a lot of old-school/new-school type of psychology.
Anyway still have to watch Ronda-Charlotte and the Austin/KO, so you guys order a pizza, make some dinner, grab a few Steveweisers, do whatever you need to get ready for Wrestlemania Sunday and the biggest match EVER!!
