I hope everyone had a good weekend and your Monday is getting off to a good start.

There is a live RAW tonight and stuff might happen (needs to happen), but it’s the first time there is an NFL Playoff Game on Monday night with the Rams and Cardinals playing the Wild Card. The ratings didn’t drop much last week going head to head with the College Football Playoff title game, but that was a game that was a little more specific to a region, whereas the NFL is a national passion. So it might be a rough night.

As for other news, Mustafa Ali requested his release and I would assume he will get it. Great talent and seems to have a good mind. In a different time I think he might actually have worked on some level for the WWE or HHH would have at least snatched him up in the old version of NXT. Cageside reported that he and Vince got into some heated discussions over ideas so I respect his passion and hope he finds a place where he can do his thing. People will quickly say AEW, but honestly I think Impact or NWA (if that still exists) might be able to put him a little higher up on the card and offer him the mic time. And I suggest checking out some of his matches with Ricochet from old Main Event episodes. They generally ran about ***1/2 to **** on the regular.

AEW Elevation is streaming…but it’s NFL playoff time.
