Death of the Valet

Hey Scott,
Why has never been a huge presence of Valets in wrestling and why have they basically disappeared from the landscape? Since Wrestling is a male soap opera, it seems like a perfect element.
Heck, it's not even like it can't work now, even with the women's division. The Lana/Rusev team was great for as long as they kept them in the Drago storyline. It's not their fault WWE screwed everything up about them.
Is it a cost thing? Feminist thing? Lack of imagination?
Andrade and Zelina were a pretty big act just a short while ago. Karrion Kross and Scarlett are currently the NXT championship act. Penelope Ford and Kip Sabian over in AEW.
