Royal Rumble predictions (yawn) but in a three way format

Hey Scott

Appreciate it’s pretty dull watching WWE these days. But Royal Rumble is still one of the more interesting and unique times of year. Right? Right?

So for predictions, how about we go for a set of three?

1 The Bleeding Obvious (maybe an English turn of phrase)

2 Your Choice should you be (I respect you) Bookerman

3 Surprise Surprise


For me, here goes.

1 The Bleeding Obvious (maybe an English turn of phrase)
Men’s – Brock Lesnar, I know he’s not booked yet, but come on, it’s nearly too obvious
Women’s – Charlotte Flair, it’s a boring lock right?


2 Your Choice should you be (I respect you) Bookerman
Men’s – Daniel Bryan, to get his WrestleMania match vs Roman, but in a Career vs Title match, Bryan loses, retires and moves into producer / trainer mode
Women’s – Bayley, to go onto the main showdown with Sasha at WM, Charlotte will get Asuka anyway when they fall out and lose the tag titles


3 Surprise Surprise
Men’s – Jey Uso – wins the Rumble to set up Wrestlemania match with Roman. But would they run WM with that?
Women’s – Rhea Ripley, redebuts on the main brand, wins it to meet Sasha at WM


I actually think Rhea Ripley is the obvious choice to debut and win the Women's match. If they're building the stupid Charlotte v. Lacey match for WM then you'd think she wouldn't be winning the Rumble and that doesn't leave many other choices unless Becky is cutting mat leave short.
On the men's side, I've got no idea. There's no obvious direction for Wrestlemania and they still need an opponent for Roman unless they want to have Kevin Owens job yet again. I'd actually like to see the Sheamus v. Drew match they've been hinting for months, but that's not really a WM main event. So yeah, let's just say Brock.
