Wrestling cross-promotions

Tony Khan really should give Jeff Jarrett credit for the buzz that AEW just created by building a story with Impact Wrestling. Jarrett's entire vision for Global Force Wrestling about five years ago was to get TNA, NJPW, AAA and other regional companies on other continents like Australia and Europe to work together. Jarrett actually had a really great concept to come up with an alternative to WWE at the time. It failed, obviously, but he was actually ahead of his time.
I hope Tony Khan is successful with this bridge building he is doing with AAA, NWA and now Impact. What do you think will be the end game for this multi-company cross promotional effort?
Hopefully just strengthen the non-WWE scene enough that guys can go somewhere and feed their families without having to get swallowed up by WWE developmental on 5 year deals where they never make TV.
