With the discussion of the upcoming AEW game and other wrestling titles, what is your opinion of arcade wrestling games like WWF Wrestlefest? It had a good roster of characters and two different modes…
I understand if you didn’t have a chance to playthe arcade version…but I thought I’d ask since a local bar in my hometown has an old cabinet…
Jesus man, yes I am definitely old enough to have played WrestleFest and Superstars in the arcades. They were my jam and I have them on my faithful Raspberry Pi and various portable retro gaming collection.
I actually pre-ordered the “spiritual sequel” to Wrestlefest, Retromania Wrestling, which was supposed to be released in July and is still in development. I guess it'll just magically show up on my Switch one day. Ironically I learned about it from watching NWA Powerrr, and the game will probably launch before the NWA does again.
