Joey Styles recaps the feud over the ECW Championship between the Sandman, Cactus Jack, and Shane Douglas. This Saturday night at the ECW Arena the Sandman and Jack will face off in a barbed wire match for the title.
Jack admits that he has a lust for blood, something that the Sandman cannot escape. He puts barbed wire on top of his head as he speaks of a previous barbed wire match against Eddie Gilbert that he considers the highlight of his career. Jack warns the Sandman that he needs to weigh how much he wants to keep his title on Saturday because he is coming to take it.
Styles announces additional matches for Saturday’s ECW Arena card. These include the Public Enemy defending the tag team titles against Axl Rotten and a mystery partner and the Pitbulls teaming with Raven to face 2 Cold Scorpio, Tommy Dreamer, and Taz. Chris Benoit will also be wrestling.
Styles talks with Paul E. Dangerously. He puts over Taz’s legit fighting credentials while mocking Mickey Mantle, Michael Jordan, and Michael Jackson. Dangerously warns that Taz has “a dangerous new attitude.”
The Public Enemy-Pitbull double dog collar match from Enter Sandman airs, as well as the post-match activities that involved Raven, Steve Richards, Tommy Dreamer, Luna Vachon, and Beulah McGillicutty.
The Enemy leave the ECW Arena, arguing over who is going to drive their car because they do not have driver’s licenses. They are unsettled by graffiti on a wall that says “T.P.E. TOS” which is translated for the audience to read “The Public Enemy: Terminate on Sight.” Rocco Rock warns Johnny Grunge that they may not be the only hoodies in town anymore.
The Last Word: The last segment lends some mystery for the next big ECW Arena show, which will be recapped next. Showing the Public Enemy-Pitbulls match in its entirety was overkill since the match was not good and more time could have been spent talking up the card for June 17.
