Blame it on the Rona

If the Rona didn't consume the world, do you think the XFL would have survived to see another season? I know it's all “to hell with Vince” and probably will be forever to most but I think the product was decent enough in that the ratings were better than the first version of the league and interest was high
Interest wasn't high at all. Ratings were dropping rapidly. Not to the catastrophic levels that the original XFL did, but the original version was one of the lowest rated shows in history of any kind by the end, so it wasn't exactly high praise to say it was doing better than that one. Vince's whole strategy was supposed to be losing money on it for a bit and then scoring a big network guaranteed money deal, but that didn't seem to be in the cards and that's probably why he pulled the plug and declared bankruptcy so quickly.
