ppv’s being “worth it”

By Scott Keith on 9 March 2020

Hey Scott

I was reading a thread live posting about the Revolution PPV and a couple of people were mentioning “I got my money’s worth”

So:

PPV costs 50$

Only 5 matches. What matches would you put in there to say “I got my money’s worth”

Length is not an issue. Can mix any promotion, Era, anything.

The show was only $25 internationally on Fite so had I paid for it, I would have said I got way more than my money's worth out of it. Generally my criteria is one great match, nothing bad, and a main event that delivers what I was looking for. Given those guidelines I would traditionally call a PPV "worth my money". These days the Network model for WWE's shows has completely skewed what's "worth" $10 a month. Usually in that case it's "a couple of good matches" and then NXT Takeover does the heavy lifting otherwise.
