Monday Night Open Mic

Howdy Blog O’Doomers!
I hope everyone had a good weekend and got back after it this Monday. We had a Network Special last night and as shows go…it was a show. Couple of good matches and a lot of insignificant stuff. Crowd seemed to die at the end, but the Wrestlemania card starts to take hold.
Scott and Thomas both have reviews. Scott hated it. Thomas liked it. They both thought the card died at the end. I would agree. I thought the stuff I thought would be good was good and the tag chamber match was pretty fun. The stuff I didn’t think was going to be good wasn’t good. I’m not buying Baszler as anything more than a new villain to feed to Becky. She’s a good worker and at times she can be a great heel, but I’m not feeling it with her in this higher-profile role. The connection just isn’t there for me. In hindsight where she was at NXT is probably her ceiling, she was the gatekeeper for the women’s division and they smartly kept her strong until there was someone with real star potential to beat her. So by Summerslam, I could easily see Baszler back in a similar position and Rhea Ripley moving up and becoming one of the top women.
RAW is live tonight and finally they can just build to Wrestlemania. Edge is returning to bring more juice to one of the few Wrestlemania programs that’s got some heat. Undertaker is supposed to be in the house. Is Brock in the house? Not sure.
Light NBA and NFL slates. College basketball is in conference tournament mode with the brackets set to be released Sunday. Another night of “Better Call Saul” and “McMillions” for me.
Keep it clean!
