Luger question, take a drink

Cultaholic just did a video about the events leading to Alex’s 95 defection to show up on the first Nitro. I know Bischoff wasn’t a Luger guy but how would you have used Lex at that point. He got one Nitro match with Hulk, then heel turned to join the Dungeon?! He quickly just became a guy rather than THE guy. How would you have booked a defecting Lex in WCW late 95?
Well the problem is that Luger was coming off a run where he was perceived as a choker and overpushed, so if you throw him into WCW as a top guy immediately then you're kind of burying yourself. I actually think his role was fine, especially for the money they were paying (which wasn't much).
