WCW/Battle Dome Angle

I was just going through some old WCW stuff when I remembered that towards the end they ran that "Battle Dome vs WCW" angle with the Battle Dome guys invading WCW. If you'll remember, Battle Dome was an American Gladiators rip-off show that ran for not even 2 years and (coincidentally?) ended around the same time WCW was bought by Vince McMahon. Anyways, this was yet another angle that went nowhere/was dropped. I assume it was eventually going to lead somewhere eventually, perhaps if WCW didn't go out of business?
