Kayfabe lifelong injuries

So after Bryan and Roman, it looks like Edge and Paige are the next "UNBELIEVABLE COMEBACK" stories in WWE, rumours floating around that both might return as competitors at the Rumble. Is LIFETHREATENING INJURY the new kayfabe?

I don't even know what this question is supposed to mean. They were injured. They got better.
