At IYH Dec 1995, Ted Dibiase revealed he bought Xanta Claus. He had one match on Superstars after that and then he was gone. Was this always supposed to be a one off character, just for this, or was he supposed to be a regular and they pulled the plug

Well it wouldn't exactly be a character with a lot of longevity, I'd imagine. I also can't imagine Ballz Mahoney sticking around the WWF for any length of time at that point, either.
