AEW/NJPW relationship

So in the same week Nick Jackson says there’s no chance at a relationship between the companies. Then the AEW world champ appears in a video message to challenge the ACE of NJPW to a match at their biggest PPV. With Jericho and Mox making appearances for NJPW, doesnt there have to be some type of mutual relationship here. It’s beneficial to both.
It certainly would be, but New Japan is notoriously weird and stubborn about their agreements, even though everyone is pretty much telling the top people that they need to switch to working with AEW right now. I think eventually it'll come together, because there's too much money for both sides not to.
