Continental Wrestling

Scott,
I have been watching some Continental from 1985 and 1986 and regret it is a territory I did not see at the time. If Verne hadn't been convinced that ESPN was not the mis-spelling of a place he wrestled Billy Robinson to a 3 hour draw, would Continental have been a better television fit than Mid-South/UWF?
Also, was there ever any rumors of Jarrett or Fuller trying to get on The Nashville Network in the 80's? It would have seemed a natural fit.
Continental was great for a limited time, but they ended up getting sunk by some really bad business decisions. They were only ever going to be a regional promotion and wouldn't have worked outside Alabama. Not everyone needs to go national.
