AEW=ECW?

Dear Mr. Keith,
As I look at the AEW hype more and more, I'm seeing something different. Back in the early to mid 90s, you had a promotion anchored by an experienced, world traveled veteran and a group of new wrestlers mostly working the independents. Wanting to offer an alternative to the stale pro wrestling product available.
With the exception of a billionaire backing them, doesn't AEW in some aspects mirror the ECW of the early to mid 90s?
No, that wasn’t ECW at all. ECW was Tod Gordon and Paul Heyman taking the castoffs and exiles of wrestling and disguising their weaknesses so effectively that people legit thought Public Enemy was good.
AEW can just be it’s own thing without having to force it into an analogy.
